Under FL statutes you can use firearms/deadly force to prevent bodily harm, or even to prevent a forcible felony such as robbery or carjacking. Unlike other states the victim has no obligation to retreat even if running away is an option, leaving a lot of freedom under the law to shoot & kill. And Wes isn't completely stupid because when Andrew made the remark, you could instantly see the 'bully' get checked. His posture said it all

Luke 18:19 "Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good-except God alone" Also by the fact that humans are born in a fallen state and are tied to original sin through Adam.
