Nice happy crowd in Darcies it looked the busiest bar around

I loved " Darcies" bar, its brilliant if you love " northern soul music". Been a few years since I stayed in Benalmadena,the owners at the time at Darcies were getting married in Gibraltar,we stayed around January time few years ago and I think they were getting married in the February. The owner of the bar was showing us a clip when he was doing a northern soul dance,many many years ago when he was younger on the Bruce Forsyth show. Great bar.Most of all he sure looks after his guests,my sister has mobility problems but the owner gave his full support to her now. Hoping to go back sometime this year. If I can get a cheap " NOT".

Great story , Darcies was the place to be that night.

The lady in your video wih the glow in the dark earrings who told you the truth that Darcies IS the best bar in Benalmadens is Jacqueline the lovely Landlady I expect that Trevor the Landlord was serving behind the bar Hi guys!!!!once you have been to Darcies once you get drawn back great people ,music and atmosphere is the best they deserve all the praise they have worked hard to achieve this WELL DONE DARCIES 👏 ✔️

Nothing like the Benalmadena i stayed in mid 80s,stayed in hotel Palmasol, marina had recently been built. Still the same busy road.

God that’s a blast from the past. I’m I am sure everybody is down drinking at the port or Kelly’s Korner and comes up this week for the last drink before bed on their way home .

I’m here in early august 2022, and I cannot believe how dead all this strip is. Including 24 hour square. What on earth has happened? This place used to be packed only a few years ago. Very sad demise

Used to go there in the late 80's and 90s. My dad bought a timeshare but unfortunately my dear ol' mum passed aged 47 so didn't see it.

Liking your bar vlogs

went to the 24-hour square once and it was closed but still, lots of bars on the streets open late

Me and the Mrs going to benalmadena in September for the very first time, we’re looking forward to going to Darcies bar as we live for northern soul, it’s our way of life, love your vlogs by the way.

Oh Dear!

when I visited here in 2017 this area was a dump the english square, it needed to be bulldozed and redeveloped but sadly it hasn't.

I had a look at the photos on google and that Mango club looks decent

Darcies brilliant bar and owners trevor and jacqueline.

Are there any bars with tribute acts like protaras or in Tenerife?

Gets very busy at weekends but it's for the young ones , defo need to be careful in the square.

Watch out for the touts outside Molly malones, try & charge you €10 to get in, then when you say sod that they say oh come in for free! Proper taking the piss!
