The only thing I can think of for "brand safety" is in relation to clothing. Ladies' clothes are not uniformly sized and so, if a lady wants to always know what size clothes to buy, she needs to buy the same brand. In relation to advertisements like in this clip, it seems like they're talking about behind-the-scenes sabotage. Oh joy.
