They have like a pre interview before going on stage and I think they discussed what direction he was gonna take it. Bruno Mars and Rihanna are pretty chill (or so they seem, I don’t know them) and I think they would’ve laughed, not sure About Beyoncé though.

I still can't understand why people say Ben Platt looks like a 40-year old. He looks in his early 20s. I teach College students. Some of them are 17, some of them are 25, sometimes in the same class, and it's not that easy to tell them apart I can assure you. A 17-year old might look a bit older, a 25-year old might look a bit younger. It's one thing to ask for trans roles to be portrayed by trans people, ( it's perfectly understandable) but wanting actors to be the exact same age as their characters is ridiculous.

I was so confused when I started seeing all of these comments about BTS. I thought James must have said something HORRIBLE. Umm, BTS are still going to continue to be rich and successful, and have fans of all ages. I don't really think this is worth anyone's time, and the people that are making death threats to James over this deserved to be charged. There are real problems in the world. This should never have become one.

@@joeyyyff9642 It sounds as though he referred to them being at the UN as unusual (which it is for any musical performers), and being referred to as a 15 year old girl is a pretty generic typecast for many fans of pop performers/icons. I've heard it said about Backstreet boys fans, N'Sync, Justin Bieber, One Direction, Jonas Brothers etc. etc. It never actually meant EVERY SINGLE FAN is 15, but the majority tends to be around that age. It really isn't that deep.

I’ve watched this a few times now and I’m still disgusted at how James treated Ben. It was his first time on the show and you’d expect the host to be more accommodating. First of all in what world is it okay to hit your guest? Even if it’s a joke, though Ben didn’t really seem too comfortable with it. And also 2 of the 8 minutes were about James’ team slacking off. It’s just sad.

It’s because they surrounded him by actors playing his “peers” that actually look like 15-17 year olds. So having this guy that looks past 35 in a romance with an actress who looks 15 is pedo cringe. He looks older than James Corden in this very interview.

gosh i fell bad for Ben here. repeatedly hitting a first time guest with a cardboard with a picture of them and their partner on it, hitting the photo, THEN repeatedly keep dropping the photo on the floor to make your guest pick it back up?? that’s their lover. someone they hold dear to their heart and you go and disrespect their partner, as well as their relationship like that? Ben even said, “I think i should keep it” after the second time James dropped it on the floor, making Ben pick it back up.
