Ben Platt Is VERY Ready to Return to NYC

James Corden welcomes his friend Ben Platt to Stage 56 and Ben is vaxxed up and ready to head back to New York City after spending quarantine in his Los Angeles childhood bedroom. And James asks Ben about his boyfriend, Noah, and how they're going to get a real shot at dating out in the real world. After they discuss making the film adaptation of "Dear Evan Hanson," Ben and James bounce around what show is going to bring Ben back on the live stage ("Amadeus" anyone??).

same but it also makes me nervous af because imagine if they ever broke up. like knock on wood but people do break up even after 5+ years idk it's definitely adorable but at the same time i'm like ahhh anxiety

It’s good to see how freeing gay actors become when they’re out vs when they’re not Bc that’s something he’s be conscious about 4 years ago.
Maybe it’s just my super emotional closeted self but hearing him be comfortable saying “because we are super gay” was so nice. Warms my heart that he’s now being his authentic self. God I love Ben 💖

That's the first place I saw him. I remember the end of the movie and I thought his voice was awesome! Then I discovered DEH in like 2018 I think when I worked at a school and read the book after listening to the soundtrack and then tried to get tickets and then pandemic so yeah...

When I saw no him in pre Broadway DEH runs, he seemed like a boy [Okay, he was playing one]. I still see the boy, but I can see the man he's becoming.
