Hey, I'm also aroace, I'm gonna vent here for a bit so just ignore me :). Being aroace is just confusing to me. I spent all of my closeted life feeling left out and making up crushes and long distence relationships just so people would stop asking me. In some cases I still do bc even though I'm out sometimes its easier to lie. I will say this: even though it sucks to feel this way, we are so lucky to have a community of people online. I know I've fallen out of love for my boyfriend too. Or maybe I wasn't in love with him in the first place. From the very first time we got back together, I've only thought of his happiness. Literally everybody is capable of being in love with everybody else (sexuality determined, obviously). The only reason people "fall out" of love is due to selfishness. Me me me, he/she isn't satisfying me (either partner could feel this way). It wasn't that long ago people married their high school sweethearts and stayed together til they died; and that was NORMAL.

Saw Ben this morning here in Australia in the morning show from America tv. Such a beautiful voice, beautiful song and a beautiful by young man. 💕

I can really relate to this song! The words hit home and the tune and rhythm along with Ben's passion the emotion in his voice, is just soooo good! This song is everything!!!

My ex broke up with me exactly 4 months ago today and these lyrics describe everything he used as motive to do so. It's really hard to process someone not wanting your love, our ego hurts. But we need to understand that it is NOT the end of the world. Someone WILL acept our love and give it back. We just gotta keep going. Keep waiting. Amazing song.

I swear, all of Ben Platt’s songs that I’ve listened to are so unbelievably relatable, and when he releases the songs, it comes at a perfect time in my life when I’m dealing with crap, which I always thought was funny and how fate works like that. Listening to the lyrics to this song really made me think about all of these years that I’ve gone back and forth with liking this guy (he’s currently in a relationship) and I just need to tell myself to let that feeling go and to enjoy myself as a single bean because when or if I “find love” one day, I will most likely forget all about this guy.
