Yes that’s why states like NY and Washington are regretting their decision and REfunding the police . So that’s a irrelevant comment

So let's say we do end qualified immunity. An officer investigates a domestic battery complaint. Husband beats the crap out of his wife. Wife has visible injuries and multiple witnesses saw it. Cop arrests the husband and he goes to jail. A month later the prosecutor, overburdened by case load, drops the charges. Husband sues the cop for violating his 4th Amendment rights. You think this is ok?

@@mattliftsandjumpswhat a brain rotted statement. Isn't it obvious that the wife will press charge on the abuser before the abuser litigates the police?

@muhiddeny.misbak542 what do you mean? Victims of domestic battery regularly do not cooperate with the investigation.

@@mattliftsandjumps incredibly brain rotted statement. There are so many cases of police violating people's rights with little to no repercussions and this little strawman anecdote is the argument against it?
Ben & Jerry's ice cream is delicious and I love their progressive attitude.

They first wanted to remove the police but got back lack from the black community . Also the Asian community protested for more policing so now Ben & Jerry had to change their agendas . . Which has improved
Justice for all? What a novel idea.
*Fudge the Police* New Ben and Jerry's flavor. I like that these dudes been hippies for years and they continue. Fight on, till the day humans are equal and free.

FUDGE THE POLE-ICE CREAM 🤣 😆
No one should be above the Law.
Qualified immunity needs to go; but that's no solution. That's fear motivation. Accountability comes from leadership - whether it's a city manager or a mayor, they set the expectation for local law enforcement.
Qualified Immunity and Police Unions must be Abolished. Warren v. District of Columbia[1] (444 A.2d. 1, D.C. Ct. of Ap. 1981) is a District of Columbia Court of Appeals case that held that the police do not owe a specific duty to provide police services to specific citizens based on the public duty doctrine.
I am going to buy his icecream
They should make an icecream named after the movement

Awesome!
I am going to buy his icecream as not enough people who will be heard care
From now on ben & Jerry's is my favorite ice cream.
Just take a real vote from the millions in this country .....they will vote in favor of ridding Qualified Immunity. So Dems do not remove it from the bill.
Awesome
Police will leave because they're not here for the love of the job, they're here because of the protection QI afford them. Taxpayers pay millions for they're bad deeds. Policing will be done differently and petty law infractions will not be a death decision anymore

Well in all honesty ending qualified immunity it is the best solution to end with the police and sheriffs getting away with their wrong doings all the time like as if they are perfect and haven't done nothing wrong at all
Finally an issue everyone should agree on.
This HAS been Going ON IN BLACK Neighborhoods For I know 30 years😢 it's just THAT Everybody Has a 📸 Ben And- Jerry Thank YOU For Speaking Out👁️ THIS- Is Everyday Life In BLACK AMERICA 🇺🇸( IN The Words of Joseph' Stalin) Order- 227- NOT One Step- Back⚖️
This is great news. Now we can sue the fire department for water damage........
Another Week goes by and still NO PERP walk. Not Matt, Rudy, any of the underlings. Can the State of New York or the IRS or DOJ move any slower, procrastinate a little bit longer. Maybe somebody will eventually AGE out.
Now I love their ice cream even more!
Way to usher in a huge crime wave.
Synonyms for "murder" from the dictionary of whitewashing: "qualified immunity" is used domestically; "plausible deniability" is used across borders.
2yrs later whereare we on ending this travesty of QI
I listened to a podcast with Ben and Jerry about their life and start of their ice cream company. Their story is actually very interesting. They are both good people, also they are not involved with the ice cream company anymore but made sure that they keep their legacy.
My suggestion for a flavor: "Sinnamon Barfunkel" - cinnamon butter bar in vanilla bean ice cream. Keep up the good fight!
❤️
Can millionaires even say "Constitution"?
He’s a good man & a good citizen but he’s wrong on this one. Sovereign Immunity is an absolute necessity for government to exist at all. Government officials performing their functions must have immunity. They might be prosecuted for exceeding their authority.
When are these rich people going to actually talk about corruption in politicians ??? Something we all need . .
Fudge Da Police? My favorite flavor. Crooked Cookie Cop, not so much...
