And Regina's vocals are awesome. Seems like some people here are giving her a hard time because she didn't hit every note perfectly? Do they realize how ridiculous that range is that she's doing so quickly? It's unreal. I love 3:24 when she looks over to Ben and then smiles because maybe he realizes she's struggling so when the camera pulls out you see that he's up and smiling back at her and then she freaking nails the end... that feels like a perfect demonstration of the power of true love and support

How did I miss this at the time? What a treasure.

Yes, I think it was uploaded to KZread by one or two fans soon after this episode aired, but was then removed, maybe within a few months to a year. After that, it was only available on some Russian knockoff of KZread for a few years more, before disappearing from the Internet entirely for the better part of a decade, until you re-uploaded it in April 2020.

So glad to have watched this!! Still a little confused behind the context of Jason Sudeikis playing trombone.. but I'm not complaining. When I was in middle school and this was common, my mom's "hold" music for her cell phone was this song! Always makes me think of her.

Regina is friggin wonderful,

The rehearsal to this was fantastic, I think Regina was a bit nervous, bc her vocals were more shaky here.

Absolutely an all time great live late night performance

For everybody thinking Regina's mic was doing weird stuff or Autotune was being used and cutting in and out... I respectfully disagree. I don't think autotune was used at all. She is doing the low and high notes and increasing and decreasing her own volume with her voice. Any singer knows how to do things like that and this song calls for it. Actually I thought it sounded great! But obviously nobody cares about my opinion of course, just thought I'd share my 2 cents. Cheerio!

you can very clearly hear the autotune at 0:59. she is a great singer but there was very heavy autotune used in this performance. i think the song might have been too low for her

Still looking for the rehearsal taping of this performance.. It has been on youtube and taken down. It was a fun to watch with the swear words and her beautiful smile !

This is perfect! Such a good performance of a great song.

I'm a little surprised that a lot of people don't realize the trombone player's sole purpose in this performance is as a goof; but then again it's a dumb inside joke so maybe I shouldn't be. Some things that touring artists do to keep things interesting from show to show are the dumbest, silliest lowest level of humor that makes the band laugh but that most of the audience doesn't even notice. Ben sure as heck finds it funny.. he's such a dork and unapologetically himself (except for when he apologizes for being himself lol.) It shows they are having a lot of fun- and it's little things like this that makes me really miss playing live music. Gettin' all emotional over here 🥲🥹😅

So glad I got to see him do this live in Cleveland a few years back. My only regret is that Regina wasn't there too.

😂Not sure if you’re joking or not but that’s a trombone and that’s Jason sudeikis “playing” the trombone. So, yes it’s staged.

I’m not sure the trombone player was the only issue here. Her sound was all messed up and the levels kept changing, not just her but other instruments. I’m guessing they had a super small stage to cram all that stuff into and they couldn’t move as needed. Not sure if the music went flying because the drummer knocked them off or what. They just didn’t seem comfortable, any of them.
