Ben: "i've been dreaming of this since I was a little boy" - the best!

I live in an 800 square foot house and the property is over 8000 square feet. I can’t imagine having more. Lots to clean, maintain, and decorate. No matter what the climate outside, the goal is to live more outside than inside with patio, fire pit, multiple gardens, and open to the neighborhood for one large living room. I feel very blessed and can bless others in turn.

My adult son (and our five dogs) currently live in 1,000 sf, and honestly, we don’t need more space than that. We figured out just the right size for us.

The wife reacting to this would totally be me !!! I think she loves it !

I love ALL your videos, but this one was special! Her reactions all the way through were so encouraging and sweet! This is a special couple who don't take things for granted and see the magic in everyday life. So clean and wholesome they are! And that KITCHEN!!! Hit this one out of the park Ben and Erin! WOW! THIS would be my dream house! So happy for them!

I am in love with that small house. Actually it is bigger than my first condo which was a shy 40m2 in Germany. All the lovely details and a great plan. Good job.

The counter space expander is a great idea, though not needed there. . I stayed a few days in a tiny house while my not-huge (1300sq ft) cottage was being tented. The most difficult thing was not enough counter space to prep even small meals. But that kitchen had more than enough.

One of the best projects they've done 👏👏👏 I love all the details especially the knobs 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

I'm so glad to see these on YT. Always loved this show but after I cut cable never could see it. I think most of HGTV is trash, all the same boring junk. Rehab Addict, Restored & this one were about the only things worth watching. Ben could be my son's twin, in personality, looks & occupation. Very sweet couple. I really enjoy these, thanks!

It’s such a shame you couldn’t leave the little house for a playhouse or for guests or something and start somewhere else on the property. Broke my heart!

The husband is my favorite. Because he cab take a piece if wood abd turn it into something Wonderful AND Jesus was a Carpenter❤

lol I have lived in and raised 6 children…..for 29 years in 864 sq.ft. Never thought of it as a nook lol

It’s the same amount of doors as any primary bedroom suite. Unless you have a bedroom without a closet or bathroom then that’s standard.

What abt a curtain on the closet sliding door? All i saw was yellow doors. It was nauseous. I have natural wooden doors, they dont match the paint, they soften the room, plus u see the wooden details. That would have been much better. And maybe a light blue or lighter beige. Or one accent wall. It was just too much of 1 color

@@seedsoflove7684 I would be pretty mad if I paid someone a bunch of money to build me a house and they put a curtain over my closet. As far as a barn door those are much more expensive than a standard door so they had to work with what the clients budget would allow. Just because it’s not something you prefer the clients were obviously ecstatic with the results

We've got a couple who have a lovely home and can afford to save up for a bigger place BUT instead lets build them a new home for a hundred thousand and film it instead of using that money to build 3 small homes for people who can't afford housing and don't already have a home. Their motto:"We're HGTV..F*ck the poor."!

.....man its the first time ever didn't like interior at all.....the kitchen is so outdated, nothing looked good, the colours were creme? The kitchen green? The reaction was so overly enthusiastic....the only great thing is the new house itself....this is not tiny living at all...i was actually surprised by the result.....

I think tiny houses are less than 400 sq ft (from what I've heard from the tiny house vlogs). Then from 400 to 1000 sq ft are "small houses". In other countries, less than 1000 sq ft are considered regular size & not small.
