And if Ina had not been true to herself and followed her "gut" which directed her to The Barefoot Contessa none of us would have had the pleasure of decades worth of delicious recipes, cooking tips, elegant food presentations and making life a bit more enjoyable while sharing it with family and friends! Thanks for all you do, Ina! ❤

I grew up watching all of her videos. There's this particular channel on our television here in the Philippines where her shows were airing. The way she picked some of her ingredients in her garden was very very therapeutic. I am 27 now and I still find her videos very therapeutic. She looks very happy with what she has been doing ever since. ❤

I’ve adored Ina since I discovered her on Food Network when I was 14 back in 2002. I’ve been an avid fan ever since. She’s one of the many home cooks who taught me all about cooking and my love for cooking. I adore her and am so happy for her success. She’s a mentor to us all to follow what we love. 💕

isn't just what you do but what you don't do. Not just what you did but how you did it. Not just what you said but how you said it. Love is so simple yet the simple make it so hard. Love Is full of knowledge yet even the smart don't get it. Love doesn't cost a fortune yet fortunes are spent trying to gain it. Love does demand of you yet you are not willing to sacrifice for it. Those who only seek what love can give and do for them, do nothing for love and others and in such selfish pursuit, in turn rob themselves of love's best gift. Make this year the year you seek to sow love and not just reap it. Be love and not just think it. Do love and not just say it. Talk love and just don't fake it. Seek love and just don't chase it. Embrace it but don't enslave it, share it but don't dare boast in it. Enjoy it but don't abuse it. Free it and watch it come back. Invest in it and watch it pay back. Wash your life in it, light your darkness with it, eat your food with it conduct your business with it and above all else Serve God in it. I really did learn how to cook from watching Ina’s show and reading her cookbooks and I think my favorite tip was how lovely veggies taste when sprinkled with a bit of olive oil, salt, pepper, then roasted. And my husband was delighted when I began watching her and trying out Ina’s recipes on him. Family and friends loved it too. You learn so much from Ina, like it’s not about an overdone tablescape, it’s about sitting closely together sharing what’s often essentially French peasant food. It is true, INA taught so many of us to cook - not only cook but how to be comfortable in the kitchen. My husband is forever grateful. 🙂

isn't just what you do but what you don't do. What a wonderful interview! Good chemistry between Ina and Katty...so was very relaxed. I agree w all who said wonderful things about Ina ...that I read. For me, one thing in particular stood out. When Katty agreed the drink needed something and she suggested some bubbles...Ina was delighted and agreed to try it. Ina not only liked the taste but also commented that the color was also better. Ina is a master and that showed her humility. Another plus is that the interviewer even felt comfortable offering the suggestion

Man I really love Ina, I loved her show, and after this interview I really admire her courage to go with her gut. Having Jeffrey there believing in her was a huge boost to her courage I'm sure. I love that she's a rule breaker, go to Thailand, why not? Amazing! I love her soothing voice, and I miss seeing her regularly on Food Network. I wish we were pals.

I have loved Ina Garten since the first time that I watched the Barefoot Contessa! She is so kind and has such a positive and uplifting demeanor. Elegant yet also down to earth. I have always been so impressed with her marriage to Geoffrey. It is so clear that they love each other so much and enjoy every moment together.

I’ve been a fan for years and made lots of Ina’s recipes. Listening about how Ina learned from Julia Child warms my heart, as I learned from JC’s book. As an aside, my maternal grandmother whose initials were also JC ~ Julia Christie was a wonderful cook. Great interview thank you so much.

Ina is so genuine and is clearly passionate about what she does (and Jeffrey, of course!) that she draws her audience in to have a visit. She makes cooking unintimidating and accessible to the everyday cook. No chefy elaborate things. When I was young, several decades ago, I used to try to elevate my cooking skills with recipes from sources like Gourmet magazine which had eleventy-seven steps that were daunting halfway through. Ina,who claims to be a home cook and NOT a chef, breaks down her recipes so that they are NOT scary and do-able. Her tips are also great. My favourite is zesting lemons first before you juice them which is quite logical but not necessarily the way the recipe organizes the instructions. I now always make sure that I check ahead and I have saved myself so much grief because of Ina. It is so gratifying to see truly nice people being successful without being all La-di-da about it.
