Much appreciated! This is one of those strange Cold War jets that didn't serve long, but really changed the landscape of jet development. I would also love to add a Cutlass to the mix, but all in good time. Thanks for watching!

Thank you Mike, this should be a nice build. It's a very unique looking aircraft, so it's going to be fun to see it next to its successor, the F4 Phantom.

Its a good build no issues , looks good when built It is big the same size as an F4. All I did was pit in an Aires resin seat , kit seat is bit bland and used the Metallic Details canopy mask set. I did the 3M and replaced the sisewinders with hasegawa AIM 9A's from the spares box.

Ben, I built this last year. As you pointed out, the inserts for the canons were problematic. Also, I got caught out with the stars and bars at the refuelling probe. I had to cut the decal to fit. It appears the probe was bolted on over this.?? I could only get the canopy on in the open position too! In saying all of this I really enjoyed building the kit, look forward to seeing how your model turns out, your skills are light years ahead of mine . Best Regards Paul

Thank you for the insights! I figured the gun inserts would be an issue, so I will keep my eyes out for possible fixes. I'm not sure yet if I will be using the refueling attachment. Since I am trying for an early -2m, I'm going to have to check the references and see when the probe came into regular use. If I end up using it, I'll keep that in mind. I am looking forward to this project, for sure!

My grandpa flew a4’s along side the vf31 demons aboard USS Saratoga. The hobby boss model is inaccurate because it should say USS Saratoga above Navy. But besides that it looks exactly like the f3h-2n demons

Thanks for sharing! I love the A4, so that is really cool to hear that they operated alongside the F3H. The decals in this kit have some issues, for sure. It has been building up nicely, but a set of aftermarket decals would be far more accurate. I'm going to go with the VF-61 build, as it appears more accurate then the other options.
