People commenting on how he got robbed might not know anything about diamonds, they're just calculating the price of gold and probably comparing it to their neighborhood jewelry store prices. Diamonds are priced based on the 4C's, clarity, color, cut and carat, not ounces like gold. Rob's studs are 1.5 carats PER stud, VVS1 clarity which is one below IF which is near flawless, G colored D being the best, round cut, yes it can cost up to $45,000 for the earrings alone. Earrings alone can go up to $100,000 in some cases, it's all about the type of diamonds being used, understand that diamonds are not cheap and they're not priced like gold. Throw in the cost of labor and Ben's name behind it, he can definitely charge thousands for his work, it's not so much the metal but the diamonds that hike up the price of each piece. Yes he gets wholesale prices because he uses lots of diamonds for his clients, but lets remember, the man is running a business, he's not giving his work away for free just because they're celebrities.

+gp5 I got the EXACT same cross in white gold from the Diamond district with a Ruby center stone for 900. No bullshit. My mother's wedding ring was asking 45....She walked away paying 12k. Diamonds are worth SHIT....If you know about the actual back stock of stones and the price RAPE they try to pull then you can walk away paying LESS that half asking. Now going to a Celebrity jeweler and PAYING for his name is dumb as fuck...That cross and those 2 stones did NOT need to be " custom " made......They were " made" for the show.

Not really, Versace uses much higher quality materials than Hanes does. He isn't overcharging though, people need to pay more attention to the clarity of the diamonds, as well as the karats to realize that
