Ben, I want to preface this by saying that you are one of my all time favorite artists. Today on Halloween I had a very personal and moving experience with this song. I was driving in my car and when it started playing on Sirius XM Chill. I had never heard it before nor could I hear the lyrics. Somehow out of the blue I began thinking of the last phone call I ever made to my 92 year old father as he lay in the hospital in NYC with Covid in early April of 2020. At that time the hospital and the entire city was in a state of crisis and overwhelmed with Covid patients. No one knew what we were dealing with yet and 700 people a day were dying in the city alone. The doctors had him hooked up to oxygen and told me on the phone that he seemed to be coming along very well. Unfortunately we were forbidden to go to the hospital to see him and the media was telling everyone not to go to NYC at all. I had to beg the nurses to let me call him as there was no phone near him and they had no system in place yet for people to talk to their loved ones. A nurse had to arrange it for me and put a phone in up to his ear so I could talk to him. All I could hear on the other end of the phone was him breathing through the tube. All I remember saying is that we all loved him. It sounded like he was trying to speak in response but nothing was coming through. I don't even remember what happened next, I was so upset. Then later, right after they had told me they were getting ready to send him home he suddenly took a drastic turn for the worse and died. I don't think I have to tell you how horrible this experience was for me, and that was just the beginning of it. Anyway, this afternoon, somehow out of nowhere I started thinking about that phone call as your song played on the radio. I hadn't thought about that difficult experience for a long time and it seemed strange that it would pop into my mind like that out of nowhere. Then I looked at the screen and saw that the title of the song was "One Last Call" and it was by you. I couldn't believe it and I immediately burst into tears. I was driving so I pulled over and had a good cry. I firmly believe that my father was trying to communicate with me today through your song. I feel like he has done similar things before since his death - other freaky things like this have happened, even more freaky than this. When I got home I looked up the song lyrics and feel that they seem to fit my experience in some ways too. Anyway, I just had to tell you that because it was so freaky and moving. Just the kind of thing my Dad would do for Halloween. Thank you for the gift of your exceptional music, it means a great deal to me.

When my Daddy passed, the same thing happened to me when i heard Bens version of Father Ocean. I know this pain my friend, and sadly we have the same evil forces here at play in my wee country Northern Ireland. You are a Warrior, stay STRONG ❤ I'm sorry for your loss...
