The UFC didn't sit Askren and Masvidal down when the fight was signed and said, 'Here Ben, here is 350,000$ and we are only giving you half of that Jorge'. They don't negotiate for every fight. Jorge might have signed his contract 5 years ago..and it could be a 10 fight deal. So unless he wins the belt or get bonuses, his base pay will not change until he fights out that contract. Sure, the UFC could rip it up and sign him to a new deal. But the new owners are not going to do that when there has been a major dropoff in business.

@@mateosmind751 yes. The UFC is barely surviving they are on the last wit and they have been not paying fighters good at all. The fighters seem close to being ready to start a riot. I am very concerned. The UFC is BARELy hanging on. The UFC won't last more than 2 years. The UFC is coming to an end very very shortly after ben fights gsp that is, for ufc 250. The UFC is giving up. They're barely making any money. Soon they will go broke. Allegedly.

@@carriehaley3076 I was just reading about their situation. 2016 was their biggest PPV year. 2017 was bad for PPV, because they are doing too many shows. They aren't building the drama and promotion needed for big matchups and creating big stars. However the ESPN deal pays them 150 million for 15 shows. Then you have PPV, whoever buys Fight Pass, merchandise, and live ticket sales. They do need to be concerned about the current lack of star power, but they are making a ton of money. 2017 was their most profitable year ever and 2019 might be even bigger, apparently their first quarter was massive. They do need to pay fighters more and do less PPV , actually stack the cards and promote the shit out of them. I think it's poor vision for them to let ESPN stream only most events. Free television gets a lot of viewers, it keeps Bellator alive and they are on a crappy network. After looking into what you said, yeah, I'm a little concerned too. However they aren't going under in 2 years, they aren't taking losses financially yet. Personally I hate gimick fights like bringing in NFL and WWE stars, but hey whatever it takes to get some attention.

@@jmjm1998 He used to do the after show with NY Rick and other segments(answer emails make predictions etc..). I really enjoy him on Ariel and the Bad guy with Chael Sonnen. Ariel is a great interviewer, but a lot of guys don't have anything to say. That's why I'm happy Ben is on and DC was on today. Who is also great in interviews so I'm happy.

Its not Greek it's Italian artwork made by Michaelangelo and it's based on biblical David. Its okay if people call it Greek statue I'm just clarifying in case someone wants to know the accurate reference.
