This was live in the freezing cold at the Christmas Tree Lighting in NYC. She was also the host of this event, not just a performer. She was by far the best performer that night. I think the cold affected the others much more than it did Kelly, but I mean she is a masterful vocalist so of course that’s the case. I’m always so impressed with how good she sounds live & that she always sings live (which isn’t the case for a lot of other artists today).

Loved your review!! Kelly is absolutely amazing. Not only does she have a voice like none other, she understands it, and takes care of it. Her versatility allows her to master every genre. Unlike other artists, she pours emotion into the song lyrics, and actually enunciates her words. I'm a senior; I have an eclectic taste in music and have heard and enjoyed countless artists. I've been to a hundred concerts and have to say, she blew me away at hers. She commands the stage. Hearing her live is an unbelievable experience; she's the ultimate professional. What's more, is that she's one of the few artists who sound as good as, or better, than her records. She's phenomenal. I saw Cliff Richard in 1981, and it remained my favorite concert until I got to see Kelly in person. Now, it's a tie!

let's give some credit to the sound guy here! there are backup singers (a lot of them!) and a band (with solos) and the ever dynamic Ms. Clarkson who moves the mic from inches to yards away, and it's ALL captured and mixed beautifully! and you didn't even notice that they were doing anything at all. THEY WERE BUSY!

It is a general rule that supporting singers and musicians go unnoticed, the media only focuses on the star artist... However, Kelly has always recognized and thanked the people who share the stage with her, which is wonderful and not It is something as common as many think.

Underneath the Tree should be the official song of Christmas! Kelly's vocals are flawless!

Also, I was wondering what you think...lately I've noticed Kelly frequently does that "whoooo" in between, and will do a "yeah," and "come on." While she is expressing her, I also think she's using those to relax any tension she's been gathering.

I think it was because that night was freezing cold, and the coat did not help that much to keep her warm enough. Someday I want to hear her belt out that original G5 for this song.

This song is difficult to sing. I found out the hard way during drunk karaoke n i was on this lil stage . And then the big belting part comes at the end and i wanted to just die … singing Kelly Clarkson in karaoke always seems to be a good idea when we’re drunk. Do not do it. Just dont. I love watching ur face and reactions when kelly belted out that last part. She nailed it. She always does. Nothing is better than listening to kelly clarkson belting out high notes and runs. Its orgasmic for my ears
