I still think that Lara's voice will have lost a lot of power, she sings great yes but she sings super light .. we hardly hear her, her mixed voice has lost a lot of power if we compare it to the 3 others.

All have beautiful voices. Celine, Mariah and Whitney all put in a lot of effort while singing. However, now that more videos are available of Lara Fabian’s live concerts on KZread, it’s easy to see and hear she not only has the voice, but her well-honed instrument and her breathing technique make her ability to reach notes appear effortless. Her live performances are filled with emotion and come across like story telling. No one connects more with their audience than she does.

@@bernadetteestrera8555 I do not think so . because lara was very very strong in 1995 until 2008 if we talk about her powerful voice; then she lost a lot, she uses from 2008 a lot of heady mix ratio, and it's not the same, it's pretty yes but not as impressive as lara fabian before 2008

Of course they put more effort, they use much more TA engagement in their belts which takes more effort. Lara uses an even lighter coordination these days.

I like the description Celine the Queen, while Lara is The Goddess. fits well. Like how David Foster described them, the best singer in the world(I think he said that) while the other is like 'her voice is from another planet or something.(Goddess).. Two years ago i read some one posted that Celine is already using auto tune in her concert/ Its highly probable since right now she is having health issues. But for me thats no longer have any bearing, they are already aging so that is inevitable. All of them are already out of their vocal primes. But i give high remarks to Celine and Lara, Whitney and Mariah lost their voices early. due to insufficient training and discipline.

All 3 of you would be wrong in determining their mix for an entire video aspect. Some notes maybe lean on way to the other, but not the entire video.

beautiful video, celine remains the queen for thoracic power because she maintains her notes longer than that of maria! on the other hand maria is superb, I love her tone, she has the best tone! lara fabian we can hear very well here from bb4 its reduction in tone .. impressive this video is objective bravo

What I find most surprising is that Céline was always the one with the worst technique (she always had to lower the key for her songs while singing live, and her belts still sounded extremely tense and opaque), but she is the one who has improved with time and belts higher notes, and with much greater ease, than when she was in her twenties and especially, her thirties. That's so curious, is it not? On the other hand, Lara has always had the best technique but lately, she uses and extremely heady mix when singing above C5 and avoids high notes as much as possible. I wonder why that is, as there was never any tension in her belts and she has always been extremely careful with her voice. As for Mariah, she has been a complete disaster for the last 10 years but, even though she already had vocal problems by the late 90s, she had managed to preserve her instrument until about 2008 or so. After that, it's all gone downhill. Her range is severely diminished, her weak and airy head voice has practically disappeared and she can only occasionally force a whistle. I guess that everyone's vocal tract evolves differently, but I am shocked that Lara isn't the one whose voice is in the best condition, to be honest.

Well, Céline’s technique has never been the worse one. NEVER. That is something perpetuated by the Mariah Carey stan base (lambs). Céline’s technique is actually probably one of the most superior techniques out of these Queens for the sole purpose of evolution. She continuously adds to her technique depending on the problem aging causes. Which has allowed her to preserve her voice quite beautifully with minimal major change. Lara has an amazing technique. Is it the best? Depends on who you ask. Many vocal coaches and doctors have mixed theories on the classical belting technique. Regardless, it’s the classic, classically trained singer technique. Which involves not only the vocals, but the entire body as well being fully open. Belting in full voice. As we know resonance is a life investment. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. So contrary to Céline’s technique which is more about preserving, Lara has always belted this classical way. That’s what happened with Lara. Instead of preserving, it was always about hitting the note full on, in full voice. Well once that resonance is gone, the piercing power behind the belt will fade. It’s not that Lara is heady, she still can belt high, and remain connected. Which tells us, vocal health wise, her technique is working for her. Her focus with her technique now is maintaining a bright youthful tone, which seems to be what she is working on per her documentary. As for Mariah, Mariah has never really trained her voice in any form. So the decline is honestly natural. But she still can produce bright and youthful belts and phrasing.

@@dojacatstanaccount7936 Eh, I mean her belting a G4 is even rare. She doesn’t have the vocal control to produce a stable F4/F#4 consistently through the years. Like Lara and Céline who have displayed stellar connection for decades in that passage of their voice. Occasionally Mariah will drop to a G4 but as she has gotten older even a G#4 belt although bright, still has a tone that is thinner. Her best G#4 belts have been earlier in the 10’s decade. But that last sentence is just a personal opinion based on tone.
