I've been a witch for 5 years but this is the first time that I'll get to celebrate Walpurgisnacht and Beltane with friends outdoors - covid ruined it for me twice :( I'm so excited! 🥰 thank you so much for the lovely ideas, happy Beltane 💖🌾🐞

I'm always happy to watch your videos^^ it's my first year as a witch and I've finally been to the bonfire night near where I live. It's a festival for the Patroness of the city, an apparition of the Virgin Mary (being in Italy it has a Christian significance), but it's very similar. Here the bonfires are called "focaracci"🌞

I’m Finnish and we celebrate alot of pagan holidays! I’d love to learn more about them, because they’ve been ”christianized” so you rarely hear the true history and meaning of the celebrations. We acknowledge/celebrate Walpurgisnacht, yule (Jul/Joulu), Spring and Autumn equinox, Midsummer, winter solstice and All Hallows Eve. Really interesting!

One of the best things about your videos is that you combine information with a lot of charm and fun, plus we get to see your precious son. We recently moved from our own house in the southern US where multitudes of small wildflowers grow to a large apartment building in a northern state, and it's hard for me to get out into nature. (Mobility problems in my old age.) It would have never occurred to me to put spinach into a cake, but I have to try this recipe! Much love from Minnesota!

I’m on my way of exploring paganism, Wiccan, and other similar branches of beliefs. I love learning about it and I’m looking for something that resonates with me. My uncle considers himself a witch and over the weekend I got to go out and celebrate Beltane with him and his friends on a camping trip! It was such a lovely time, I’ve never done anything like it. We sent out an offering that included blood, sweat, and tears into the water, and afterwards we danced around the maypole. Such a lovely experience, they’re a group of nice people each differing in beliefs and practices slightly but coming together to celebrate mayday in all its beauty. I like spinach, I love lemon cake... I cannot imagine the 2 working together in something sweet... but I'm gonna try it! Every year on MayDay morning we wash our face in the dew (in reality dabbing whatever dew we get on our hands onto our faces) and bring greenery from the garden into the house, it was something my grandmother did, and I just thought it was a delightful silly tradition to continue. We joke that we should be jumping naked over a bonfire, but when we have a bonfire it is done in a 2feet high metal tub, there is no way to jump over it! besides, no one needs to see this jumping around naked 🤣 I'm not a Witch, I'm a (Catholic and a) Celt, and just a few years ago started to learn about the Celtic festivals, I'm really surprised that Walpurgisnacht is a saint's day! (and one from Devon! My great great (or something) grandparents came from there) I've only ever seen it mentioned in articles and videos about German Witches/Wiccans/Pagans, and for some reason I thought it meant "witches night", even though I knew witch in German is Hexe (There is a, errr, village near me called Hextable, and I was secretly hoping it was something to do with witches but apparently it means High up or Hedge or Hawthorn boundary🤷🏻‍♀) Brilliant video. I can feel a binge watch of your channel coming on 😁 Happy Beltane!

Very intersting video. Thank you very much! When i was younger, we would always go to very old burial mounds near the small village where i grew up, on Beltane and Samhain by night. One of them was always decorated and it was told, that a seer was burried there. We always expierinced something strange, from candles that went out and lit themselfs again, to small wounds no one could explain .One time we met 3 older women on Baltane, which were visiting these graves by night. I can tell you, if you grew up in a small bavarian village you start believing in the old gods xD

Mijn geboortenummer is 356, geboren op 3/5/'60 - de laatste dag van de Floraliën in het oude Rome ... dat er 365 dagen in een jaar zijn (met om de vier jaar een bijstellen door er een schrikkeldag aan toe te voegen) wist men als in de tijd van Julius Caesar - de Juliaanse kalender is een pareltje als het over praktisch en intelligent gaat, maar daar denken de meeste mensen niet aan en het was slim om met feestdagen te werken (want dat onthoudt men dan weer wel). Bij het onderwerp Beltane (Wikipedia) vond ik het feestdagenrooster, weer zo'n snoepje voor de leerkracht in mij en dan zie je een achtpuntige ster, die met Venus geassocieerd wordt, Beltane's counterpart is Samhain en dat is op 1 november. We leren dat, waarvoor we beloond worden en bestraffen is alleen bedoeld om de mensen klein en bang te maken, het is dus op z'n minst RAAR dat men mij nu juist ging bestraffen voor zaken, die ik GOED deed en daarom heb ik ervoor gezorgd dat er een digitale versie van mezelf is onder de naam: Isabella Kiebooms. Het was een heel gepuzzel om het kaf van het koren te scheiden en de staf van de beloning, maar het internet heeft me gered en mijn praktische intelligentie deed de rest - nu is het wachten op Het Perfecte Verhaal, een boek waar niet alleen ik, maar ook mijn VRIENDEN hun bijdrage aan geleverd heb - van amen naar SAMEN (en voor minder moet je het niet doen!).

So Interesting! On my birthday "St. Kateri Tekakwitha" passed away (it was Holy Wednesday). April 17th is celebrated as her feast day. Kateri Tekakwitha is popularly known as the patroness saint of Native American and First Nations Peoples, integral ecology, and the environment. I often wonder of her origin, as many just saw her as a figure to convert natives! Either way, I love what she stands for. This year it coincided with Easter, learning now of Beltane makes me even more excited about the magic of spring! That cake looks so yummy i will have to try it out!! Happy Beltane, it was cloudy all morning but now theres a break in the clouds so im gonna go enjoy it!

Ohhh very interesting to hear all these facts I dind't know about 😃 some years ago in the Mainacht there was a construction site close to my parents house and in the morning all the movable road signs and barriers were wonderfully decorated in front of our front door 🤣🤣 My dad had to carry them all down to the site again 😅

What a beautiful accent

I will be jumping a fire this Beltane. Last year the weather was so gnarly that everything was done indoors and we hopped over a lit candle instead of jumping over a fire. Either way it worked.

it came out an absolute mess hahaha as all my crafting projects usually do, but it looked very cute on Pinterest, so apparently it can be done nicely xD

We have those trees in New Jersey USA and my family literally calls them Cat Pee Trees XD

Weißt du auch, dass Walpurga am Ende auf dem Scheiterhaufen verbrannt wurde? Ich finde dich übrigens klasse. Tauschst du dich auch so aus? Ich habe nur meine 2 Weiber aber wir halten die Traditionen hoch.

Perhaps you've heard of the Irish song, "Wild Mountain Thyme" (also known as "Will Ye Go, Lassie, Go?"). This song is all about enticing young girls to go with young men out to the fields to make love on May Eve/Beltane Eve to ensure crop fertility. Trouble is, singers nowadays sing it too slowly, almost like a dirge, as they've forgotten the wildness associated with the song ("If my true love will not go/I will surely find another"). This is a bit like the Swedish song "Kruspolska", as popularized by the band Hedningarna, with almost identical themes and verses (in Swedish)... :)
