Before starting I recommend taking 5 minutes to look at the part list in the instructions and number the parts on the hardware package accordingly. This saved me lots of time.
Video helped with assembly so much. No matter how many times I run cables on machines like this, it always seems harder than it should be. The video saved me some re-routing I'm sure!
Awesome video, very helpful!
Building the olympic plate loaded version I would highly recommend a deadblow hammer. The chrome center tubes in my case were a good 1/8th too long (eyeball estimation) after inserting the bottom rods, I was afraid I would have to cut them but the hammer helped
Nice video guys thanks for the tutorial 😁👍

At 11 minutes he says bolt 4, but it should be bolt 5.

The video definitely helped me but I still took like 3 hours because I’m slow 😂 I waited to put the top two brackets for the top pulleys. I found I could put on one side, slide the bolts through and that would hold it up there well enough to put on the other side.

That's why we got this for ya! Our instructions that come with the gear are a bit confusing 😅
Just assembled mine. This video was clutch. Instructions and packaging feedback: 1. I love the printed to scale ruler in the instructions, and the way the nuts/washers/bolts are shrink wrapped. I wish every company did this. 2. Drawings show all washers and nuts on same side of each bolt. Should be bolt+washer, dotted line, frame component, dotted line, washer, nut. Currently its bolt washer washer nut dotted line, frame. 3. Maybe I didn't see it while reading, but at the top of the listing of bolts, in big ol' bolded font, I'd like to see required socket dimensions (19mm vs 17mm etc)
Before getting the weight stack in place, put the bottom wheel inside the guard. Hot a good shoulder burn restocking all the plates 2 times....

This happened to me, I was able to tip the machine ever so slightly and my wife snuck the wheel in. But agree when I got to that part I panicked a little bit haha

This pissed me off so much bc mine was already up against the wall, so I had to disassemble the fuck out of it, move it away from the wall, tip it over and slide that bitch in. It really would’ve been helpful to have mentioned this.
One thing that would be really helpful is if the hardware was numbered also, kinda have to guess what is what.
Really tough trying to decide between the Titan low\lat tower and the Bells. Wish it was 3x3 like the Titan and also had the roller on the back of the seat for doing low curls.
@BELLSOFSTEEL

We also have 3x3 racks now! Our hydra series will have an insane amount of customizability! including row options and chest supported rows!
Just started assembling mine and I wish you guys have properly numbered the bolts. They are just all bunched together without anything identifying which ones are bolt 1 or 2.

@@BELLSOFSTEEL just assembling my loadable one. Not labelling the bolts, washers, etc., has added an extra two hours to the assembly 🙁
@10:50 made me laugh... nothing like that teenage boy sense of humor coming out :-) Very helpful vid, thank you.
At 1:20 he says bolt #1 on top bolt #2 on bottom (they are both bolt #1 bolts)
This is what sets bells apart from other companies. Great instructional videos and quality products. Love my functional trainer and will be setting this up soon

Agreed- that and they send all the parts for the equipment, unlike Titan, who will send equipment with critical parts missing and then offers a $5 credit for the $100 in pulleys and parts they don’t ship

So glad we can serve you well Steven! We will always have your back 😉😁💯
Your stuff is modular so is it possible to integrate the lat tower into the back of the Hydra rack?
I love how they skip the beginning steps, I just got mine in today and they forgot to include the instructions so this video would’ve been helpful if they started from scratch 🙃
Does the low row cable slide left and right and lose track from pully?
I wish they will have the weight stack option for the lat pull down attachment for the rack down the road

@@BELLSOFSTEEL lat pulldown attachment save space than a stand alone machine, and save the work to keep walking around the rack to change weight, and much easier to adjust weight for drop sets.
Why is the ratio 1:1 yet all the other companies like prime fitness are 2:1? Do we have the option for a 2:1 machine when ordering.
Haven’t heard good things about the pulley systems being smooth. Anyone on here can attest to this being smooth and how do you find the operation of this. Pro’s and con’s. I am thinking about getting one, but I have so many doubts.
@OutSbrich

Had mine for 6 months it’s smooth. No difference between anything you would use in a commercial gym
I can't get the weight stack and the band pegs installed at the same time. Even without the screws in the band pegs it makes my rods for the weights too long by about a half inch. Not sure what to do.
@blazefury8336
Жыл бұрын
I was able to get it. I had to take the screw out of the front side of the top and loosen the two screws on the other side. Then push up while forcing the rods in diagnoly. Finally, I had to use a hammer to beat the rods into place. It took me about an hour to get them to line up where I could secure them.

I wish the foot rests were just on the side of the logo plates or something instead of sticking out so far

They mention all these bolt numbers but dont show which one on the actual hardware package. How is one suppose to know which bolt number is which if they are not labeled? The least the company can do is minimum show on the video and point out which bolts are which numbers by showing the hardware package. SMH

I’m in the process of putting mine together right now and I will say this was a bit of a snag in the beginning for myself too. I found it possible to identify which bolts were which by counting quantities based on what should have been given to you. I will say though it was a very minor inconvenience for an incredibly well built product. I also would like to point out how phenomenal the customer service with this company is. I originally ordered this machine from Amazon and when my order arrived I had only one box and Amazon had claimed my order was fulfilled when the bells of steel website clearly states this unit ships in 9 total boxes 3 for the machine and 6 for the weight stack. Within a day or so of contacting bells of steel and explaining what had happened they were able to send out the remaining 8 boxes and provide tracking info for all boxes. I really couldn’t be happier with the product or the company I will definitely be ordering more from bells of steel and they will be coming highly recommended for anyone looking to buy home gym equipment.

Don’t blame Bells of Steel. Blame the company that they get them from. Is that what you’re saying?
