Immediately I had to go get my 2 pieces of Belleek I own. Shined the flashlight inside both. Handled each with a new love, knowing the intricacy each has. My grandparents came over on the boat. "Erin go brau!" I love my Irish heritage.

BELLEEK POTTERY I believe it takes a really special kind of people to undertake this kind of craftmanship,and it says a lot of the individual, to do this special craft one has to be patient ,gentle and so filled with love for what you do,and oh yes the people your customers so do appreciate all the hard work and time you put into such unbelivablely beautiful creations,I've so love this documentary on pottery at BELLEEK ,thank you ever so much for sharing.

Belleek has a special place in my heart when it comes to their teaware. When I was young I thought it was "bleak" and although I know as an adult that Belleek is a brand, I still find that "bleak" rings true to the aesthetic of this beautiful pottery. Theres a coldness about the ivory tone, but also a fragility and warmth about the rich details. Something about the artistry brings me an intense feeling emotion when I look at the various pieces. For some reason I found myself very emotional at the end of this video, and as I continued to browse the online shops. My favourite items are certainly the teacups and saucers adorned with gentle and delicate shamrocks, as well as the teapots. Those baskets are also stunning though, especially seeing the effort that goes into them. My grandmother from Ireland has a small collection of perhaps 15 pieces of Belleek, and my grandfather on that side was Chinese; one day I hope to develop my own small collection of both Belleek and Qing Dynasty dishware. I'm hoping to begin perhaps with a pair of Belleek teacups and saucers before the year is out.

Beautiful works of art. Incredible skill. I have two small vases made by Belleek and I treasure them.

Compared to Chinese Yixing teapots potters ,, this requires , zero patience . @@morganolfursson2560 While not offended in anyway I might have used the term "ginger" loosely since my girlfriend is a redhead and we joke around about it with each other. "Chink" is kinda more of a derogatory term... I guess we both agree they work they do is on another level. This day an age i guess everyone is offended...

I guess you mean glaze material. Usually people buy it. It comes in form of powder. You mix it with water and dip you pottery in the mixture, then fire it in kiln, and you will have glazed pottery

Slip casting and extruding... was not what I was expecting but still cool.

Hard to believe that they carried materials and product up and down all those stairs. I guess labour was cheap or they would have put in an elevator. I spoke too soon. They then showed hand weaving of clay. OMG how stunningly inefficient. How long can a company survive without modernizing?

Amazing how artful the Irish were, but were treated so poorly and unfairly in their history by everybody. Bad luck, I guess, the bad luck. I am delighted they have survived it all and can impress everybody once again

The skill of the workers is only surpassed by the stupidity of the management of such firms and its plain to see why they struggle to compete today. Carrying buckets of slip up 3 flight's of stairs then carrying a plank full of items on a plank like so many bricks is just ridiculous. One slip and a morning's work is lost when a simple lazy Susan or butler lift would remove all that. And a stupid decisions are made just like this everyday throughout Britain. Poor management, the scourge of these lands.
