I love how the last time they saw each other when he threw her out, he was in total denial about how he felt about her, but the moment they’re reunited, he makes no more effort to hide and declares his love for her with no hesitation.

Of course Regina tricked him into thinking she was dead all those years. He would have been overjoyed to see Belle again and peeved at Regina for keeping her imprisoned for almost 30 years in an asylum dungeon.

Just made the connection that Belle was rescued by the Winter Soldier. :)

Because he couldn't bear to risk anyone knowing the truth. Blue knows the truth, but because she's determined to never contribute to anything he knows she'll never tell. But Belle's vulnerable - even if she swore to never tell anyone about Bae, Regina has methods for extracting important information. And what do you think Regina would do if she knew Rumple manipulated her since before she was born just to get his son? How would all the citizens react if they knew The Dark One went out of his way to convince everyone he was Satan just to get his son back?

I watched every episode. This scene where Belle finds Mr. Gold has been the most touching of the entire series. there is some fantastic acting in this series, but Robert Carlyle is the BEST.

THE FEELS!!! They were the best pairing of the Show. I miss the good rumbelle moments.

I just love the look on his face when she walks in and he recognizes her. The whole cast is very talented but he has to be my favorite actor on the show. I also love the way he says, "And I Love you too". Not very overly dramatic or necessarily romantic but very honest and natural like the two of them had not just been reunited after being separated for over 20 years.

I know right. And then his first reaction was to tell her the same. I love how he yearns to believe so much and even does--to a point--that she really loves him. But I hate how a part of him still believes he's a monster that will never find love, even through season 4. I wonder what will become of our dear Rumple.

Coral Roper No, there isn't. He had his time in season 5A. For once, the Darkness wasn't messing around with him. He had no personal reason to take it. He just did, because he wanted to. He is not going to have a happy ending.

No matter how many times I watch Belle's scenes with Gold, I just can't get enough...every time I rewatch I find something new and magical about their meeting and conversation.

2:05....I can't imagine what would be going through his mind at that moment.

Yessss. When I saw that scene it almost gave me something with Rumplestilskin's face 🤧❤️

When he says "Yes I'll protect you" I swear I made this weird half crying half laughing face

The moment, when Rumple saw Belle, and when Belle remembered, who she is, and they told eachother, they love eachother, it was so touching. When I first watched this episode, I felt like crying. I hope now they'll have their happy ending.

I love how he tries to hide the bottle with true love's magic in it, when he heard "someone" come into the shop. He didn't know it'd be Belle. Then he doesn't mind taking her with him and sharing with her what he was about to do. Like he knows she can be trusted. =D

Jefferson: "Come with me!" Belle: "I'm ready to comply"

I really liked the way they ended season one. Having Belle and Rumple/Gold reunite and admit their love for one another, it was like a ' little kiss' from the writers/creators to all the Rumbelle fans...love,love,love Rumbelle!

I was so glad Jefferson FINALLY made a move to get his revenge on Regina. She's betrayed him twice now. He's had to spend 28 years without his daughter because of her. Girlfriend needs to pay.

It was like, she remembered him, they hugged and kissed, go back to his shop, she changes her clothes (all in a matter of probably an hour) and boom, he says something not nice and out the door she goes.

I thought Belle was being too hard on him for wanting revenge on Regina. I know she's suppose to be good hearted but it seems his main motivate was to get back at her for what she did to Belle.

@@littlesongbird1 It was...the writers of OUT made Belle just a little bit too protective of people who harmed her.

I remember watching the first scene when Jefferson passes by "S Glass" and me gasping. I actually really loved Sidney, poor guy.

I had to rewind and watch it again when he threw himself and hugged her :)

This whole part of the finale... when they are reunited... it brought me to tears and still does.

I love their love, it's so pure and beautiful. And even though it's so horrible, it just feels stronger and even more sad after the queen lies to him about Belle. Once Upon a Time really knows how to make something over the top sad. To love someone, think she's dead and when you get her she can't remember you... that's some true imagination right there ;)

Pretty sure that I've lost count of how times I've watched these scenes but I can't help it 'cause IT'S SO HEARTWRENCHINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

the first episode with Belle had only just aired in the UK...but i refused to wait. this is just magical in it's awesomeness. oh happy times for rumple and Belle...hopefully xx

I have not figured it out either. I have not figured out how Regina mother Cor a came back to get her father Henry and how Jefferson cursed when he was in Wonder Land or maybe he came back to The Enchanted Forest before he was cursed. I wonder how he got back too.

NattyJane Once a Upon a Time in Wonderland WAS the spin off. Too bad it only lasted one year and used little to none of the original cast.

Great way to cast off a very strong first season. We got what wanted, Rumple and Belle are together again but there are still a lot of questions that need answered, which is a very good thing. It's always good having questions leading into a new season. I expect to see a lot of Rumple/Belle in season and eventually finding out the status of Baelfile. I think a major story for season 2 will be Rumple having to choose between being human and happy with Belle & Baelfire or his powers.

Rumbelle forever 3 I absolutely love all their sweet moments together, especially when they reunited at Gold's pawn shop. I wish their kiss scene was tagged at the end but alas it was moved to second season. I look forward to another heart-melting reunion for Rumbelle when Gold comes back and Belle remembers everything.

I do love the scene when he sees her come into the shop.

i like how this still shows the conflict between Rumpels two relationships and that although he clearly loves Belle, magic still comes first, can't wait to see what transpires in season 2, wonder if Belle can really change the beast?

These two... they make me smile and cry and laugh and sob all at once! The moment he first sees her, and then has to make sure she's real, and she's all clueless... GAH! My heart! If they don't get to be together nothing will ever be right in the world ever again. Please, good god, after so much suffering, just let the two of them find happiness for once! I'm really looking forward to seeing what the writers do with their story arch, happy or sad, you know it'll be amazing.

Even though Rumple & Belle was not the main focus of Season one, major props to the writers for making us viewers wait until the last 10 minutes or so of the season finale to reunite them.

If I'm Belle I'm thinking "Fantastic...reunited after 30 years, during which I've been the prisoner of an evil witch, and he still isn't over this power mad phase. Swell."

Glad to see them back together. Skin Deep was the episode that really got me hooked on this show and I became more interested in Rumple/Belle then pretty much any other story in the show. I think season 2 it will ultimately be decision time for Mr. Gold, give up his power and FINALLY be happy with Belle & Bae, yes I think he will find him in season 2, or keep his magic and be alone.

Every time I watch this scene and I see his face when he first sees her... ugh! Melts my heart. I really hope we get more Rumbelle this season. I started watching the show BECAUSE of them!

I have to go back to season 1 Rumbelle because the toxic mess that's happening now is just breaking my heart! These guys were my OTP of OTPS. Rumplestiltskin was the BEST character and his story with Belle had made him even BETTER. But that was season 1 and 2 and now in season 6, I want them to fix things but man Rumple is just being a GARBAGE person rather than aloof and powerful like he used to be.

I didn't watch Once Upon A Time at all until mid way through the second season because I caught a few minutes of these two on screen. I love the idea of Rumple as the Beast, Belle the adventurous go-getter who believe in him. Their relationship is very easy to get caught up in

Damn. I am about halfway through season two and just realized the colors of rumple's shirt and tie are a reference to the colors the beast wore in Beauty and the beast.

Some ppl felt like this reunion was too short or something. I felt it was exactly right. It was perfect, when gold first looked at her, touched her shoulder, and said he'd protect her.

Okay....so I'm in my 20's but I still love me a good fairy tail and this...this is just one of my favs. Never give up on love and always look behind you. NEVER judge a book by it's cover. GO RUMPLE AND BELLE!!!

I seriously thought he was going to bring his son back. But I guess it wouldn't have been enough of a cliff hanger. I still absolutley loved these scenes. These two actors are wonderful!!!

Its true love. As he said in the episodes its powerful to break any curse. He is using it to break the curse on their being on magic.

This scene made me cry. Mr. Gold was my favorite character and I always rooted for him and Belle. Robert Carlyle is such an amazing actor and this scene always made me tear up. Robert is so handsome, oh my gosh. I have such a crush on him!
