it's called healing process.

they're really doing a good job in healing the Rumbelle drama! they're not close to each other right now because of their love or hate. they're close to each other cause right now both of them want the same thing! Belle finally put aside being a wishy washy little girl who freaks out the second she sees Rumple distant from his house and unreachable, and actually looking at herself about what she might have done if she knew the future of her son during pregnancy and understanding Rumple's POV in that scenario and instead of asking him to change his ways, actually do see the good that his power might cause and she shouldn't always be worry about his personality while knowing the outcome is going to be better for her son and everyone else! Rumple on the other hand try to keep his promise this time, even though with or without his well, still it blows up in his face like it did with Gideon in 6x13 and then Black fairy in 6x17, but still all of it is because both of them are no longer expecting the other to be the heroic romantic fairytale partner, and both are supporting each other for a goal that can solve everything and that's how they're finally getting healed.

I mean technically, she was banished for cutting him from his fate as the saviour. She didn't give him up, she was sent away to protect him and all the children

no! because he was suffering from the madness that came because of childbirth and she was obsessed with him. it's like turning to the darkside in order to save a loved one, just to get corrupted enough to be the reason for that person's misery. well imagine getting separated from the child you turned dark for, in the first place, no wonder she turned mad.

This show should really be called "Once Upon a Secret" haha

Makayla Goldsmith I think it's different because Gideon is forcibly working for the Black Fairy, whereas in season one, Henry wanted Emma to believe in herself, her power, her family, and him so she could save everyone.
