This palette is more unique than I originally realized. It's pretty, and I don't need it... but I want it!

I feel that Recently Deinfluenced and Basic Witch will work great together too, they have tones that would compliment each other really well. Thank you for the review!

I know $69 is a lot, but since all of the shimmers are multichromes, I don’t think it’s a bad deal, especially since Blend Bunny sells a quad of manufactured multis for the same price 😬

@@batacumba I’m not an expert and I don’t work in the industry, but in my opinion, I see “private labeled” thrown around a lot now. It used to just mean when a brand took a complete product with no modifications and put their name on it. Now I see people claiming brands like Nomad are private labeled, when that seems ridiculous, considering the artwork on their palettes and the embossings on their shadows. Just because something isn’t handmade doesn’t mean it’s private labeled. A lot of brands work with labs and sometimes have adjustments made to formulas. Some of these indie brands I believe use the same labs because the shimmer formulas will seem similar sometimes. I believe a lot of those multichrome dual-ended liners that hit the indie market and some of the liquid ones are private labeled though. When I said manufactured, I just meant not hand mixed like or handmade like brands like Clionadh. I take that into effect with some of these brands prices because when that Blend Bunny quad came out, even though the multis looked great, they broke down to $17 a piece and were trying to justify that that was the going rate for a multichrome, which I didn’t think was acceptable because they didn’t formulate it and it’s already expensive enough to buy the handmade ones and the brand owners claim it’s because the pigments to make them are so expensive (which I’m sure they are but they’re also putting in more labor too).

@@nataleen2623thanks for the in-depth reply! That makes sense, I just wasn’t sure if manufactured was another term for what we call private label. I agree that seems high for what you get especially when you can get individual shadows for the same price per shadow, then at least you can choose your own. These companies are definitely capitalizing on our love of multichromes. 😫

@@batacumba Oh yeah for sure. I also realize the multichrome pigments are expensive too, whether they’re manufactured or handmade, but some of these prices are just outrageous lol. I was watching a video a couple months ago from Manny MUA and it was about products he never launched from his brand Lunar Beauty. He was showing some products some labs had sent him to try out in that video too and there were some multichrome shadows in there that looked very similar to some of these that you see in all these palettes, but he said the wholesale for one shadow was $7 and he wouldn’t be able to keep his palettes at the same prices if he started incorporating those. So these brands that aren’t making their shadows but still include quality multis in theirs are probably still paying a good amount for them, just not as much as we would if we were buying individual multis.

Riley, corporate needs you to do a multichrome science video comparing Fake Famous to TM Arcturus and Venus in Chains and layering Martian Dust over some red bases because I feel like there is dupe potential there. Maybe a vivid rust like Sydney Grace Gulf Coast?

omg I can't get over how pretty and scarlet-y fake famous is 😍 feud and paid partnership remind me a lot of viseart dark matte shades curcumin and persimmon while drained reminded me of abyssinia in the UOMA Royal Heir-itage color palette - all are such pretty shades. your comparison swatches are always so helpful 🌷

Yes that Fake Famous shade had me eyeing this palette! It’s gorgeous. I definitely will be looking at Bella Beaute Bar in the future - not looking to add any new brands to my lineup for now but this brand is now on my list for the future. Love the comparison section u do such a great job!

Wow these shimmer shades are so impactful! I think the cover is a play on Ms Argentina and the recently deceased handbook from Beetlejuice, with an influencer twist.

This is such a fun concept, with the shade names and everything! I think Recently Deinfluenced is like, recently deceased, death of the "influencer", I'm "deceased" as in delighted... I love all the wordplay, and the undead (not) Megan Fox with a ring light is a great visual that matches all the meta/internet culture. It's the vampire counterpart to the previous witch palette! 😆

I ❤ their singles too. I really appreciate the attention you give to the colours, the shifts and the textures. I have the hardest time with blue shadows. I keep trying to solve the distaste I have for blue shadows and I am looking for a work around. Pairing them with the super warm shades is my best solution. It pulls the blue multichromes in a more neutral direction.

I have a hard time with blues too! Unless it’s a really sheer and muted blue. I’m intimidated by the more pigmented blue shadows lol.

@@seekingshifts “Blue eyeshadow should be illegal” You won’t ever see me in an all blue look but I’ll be da***d if I let them get the best of me. I think there are enough browns and golds in my collection that I can mute them out.
