Nice review MrS... long time since my last Bell.. but I could pull the strap until it hit the buckles and then tip it off.. but you're dead right..that tight around your ears drives you mad after a 100 miles or so...pleasure to get it off in the end. Thanks for the tip I was looking at the Bell..

GREAT review, Im going to buy the daytona, looks COOL man!

My orange striped Daytona is awesome after 13 months! Love it! FYI, you do need it to be slightly tight when new though. It takes a good month of use to really fit proper on your head. I have a big head, and it looks great on me - no more bobble heads like the Bell ones!!!

Is this true with Daytonas?That when you buy you need to order one size more than your size in others brands?I mean, my size is large 58-60, and i have to order XL in daytonas, is this true?

I connect the strap in the buckle before I place the Bell helmet on my head. The Daytona helmet is a much better looking, I'm getting one now.

These helmets are both based on an oval head shape so this review is only valid if you happen to have an oval head. This is a common problem among all reviewers. They never account for the head shape fit that the manufacturer specializes in, and they do specialize. I've yet to find a manufacturer that makes multiple head shapes. I tried the Bell and the Daytona this week but ended up with a Bilt, because it fit.

Do you know if i have to buy one size extra in daytonas from my normal size?My size in Arai,Shoei,Nolan and others is Large, buying daytonas i will need XL?Also in daytonas the Large is 57-59 and to the others brands Large is 58-60.

Awesome review, dude, exactly the type of comparison I was looking for. The only additional thing I wish you had mentioned was the size comparison between them both; did you wear same size for both helmets? I mean, if you wear L for the Bell would you wear also L for the Daytona?

The Daytona has three shell sizes whereas the Bell has 5. I just bought the Daytona though in a large. Do you know what shell size the large gets? The middle or upper size?

I bought the daytona, imo is the best 3/4 helmet

Good review man. Both lids are looking good on you, though I'd lose the DOT sticker on the Daytona as it ain't legal in the UK.

I must admit they both seem like good helmets. But I wear, for now (although I look like a jetson), a Premier Jet vintage. Why? Because the quick release system is so fast & effective. Plus the internal visa, saves hassle with sun glasses & goggles all the time. Nice informative video though.

The tag that you keep complaining about getting tangled in the strap when you pull the strap to take it off .... well that’s a pull tab ... if you pull that tab it loosens the double d rings and releases the strap to help remove the helmet ..... just thought you should know .

MATE YOU WANT LOW PROFILE THAN YOU WONT GO WRONG WITH A DAVIDA 91 OR 92 SIT LOW SMALLER OUTER SHELL THAN THE BELL AND DAYTONA IF YOU WANT SMALLER STILL GET A TT&CO 500TX NOT LEGAL BUT ULTRA COOL !

Helmets are suppose to be a snug fit BTW, Is all about safety not looks.. As far as the straps are concern, that's called coordination and competence in my opinion, BELL is a far superior helmet over the cheap version even though the cheap version may look better.. I've got both and I can tell you that I would feel safer in the BELL In an accident over that none compliant helmet.. Just me...

Of course the Daytona looks better. When your not concerned about having to comply with any sort of safety standard, you can make your helmet look as slim and low profile as you want. Might as well ride with a bandanna tied around your head.

And there is a reason the bell cost more .... it hand laid fiberglass ... where as the Daytona is injection molded plastic .... you get what you pay for .... and the bell passes a higher safety rating.... just sayin

I just went down last month hit n run on the freeway and helmet hit the ground n held up nice so I will buy another one again

@@MrSandpit123 I think he's talking about the Bell having DOT & ECE certs. The Daytona is only DOT approved. I think a review of safety ratings is in order. Safety ratings are market driven. Daytona, largely a NA brand, needs to only meet DOT. Bell is a worldwide brand and needs to meet DOT & ECE as this is the most common helmet certification internationally, required by over 50 countries worldwide. Meeting ECE does not mean it is a better or safer helmet, it only means it meets that markets requirements. TBF Bell submitted this same helmet that passed DOT, unmodified, for ECE and it passed. So there's an argument there that the standards aren't worlds apart. These safety ratings are a market and liability driven exercise as they are about safety, probably moreso. That Bell meets ECE does not mean it is a safer helmet than the Daytona. The only way to prove the Daytona isn't as safe as the Bell is to submit it to ECE testing and IF it fails then you could make this assertion. The Daytona looks like a pile of crap compared to the Bell, its much better produced and for the sake of £60 as of today, I'd take the Bell anytime

No, I have seen them when in the states and unless the UK version has increased in quality and finish, then in my opinion they are not representative of great quality unlike the Bell.

Aesthetics are an opinion, this review was factual. The Bell rating isn't higher than the Daytona's so arguing better production doesn't mean better protection. In 5 yrs when you replace either I doubt there will be 60 pounds worth in it in terms of which looks better or functions better.
