Thank you for the information on Belize.
Enjoyed your video! Going to Belize in few weeks, we are debating whether to rent a car when exploring the inland areas such as San Ignacio for 4 days or use shuttles/cabs, any advice would be appreciated, Thanks!
There is no security or lines in the domestic airport, when flying from Belize city to Caye Caulker or San Pedro. It’s really laid back. It’s about $100us to fly. It’s a pretty cool experience flying on those little prop planes, but if you don’t have to meet a deadline, you can take the water taxi.
Great drink advice, I got rueffied one time, and I was out of it for 2 days. No Bueno.

@@islandhoppertvhighlights well, we're not "normal" looking people even for here in America. I have long half dreaded hair, long beard, wear bellbottoms, to jeans with horror movie patches. Have this punk-metal-70s-90s-uk-rob zombie thing going on. So Im not sure how people will view that. Out of work director. Our funding got pulled from my movie and well, scrambling here. My wife and I both had normal crappy paying jobs, most of our lives, was homeless, for almost a year and finally made six figures a year, So we realize money is goofy for us, cause we dont buy much of anything. I love seeing Belize videos and reading about it, cause it make us both feel like we can breath, you know? Seems like everyone down there are super friendly, and we miss real, honest, friendly people. We're not goers, like we dont do bars and clubs, we're pretty much private people, but enjoy heading out and making friends. Belize looks like heaven, sounds like it. BUT, jobs, etc etc etc ANd they way I look and dress.

I would recommend checking into the financial requirements to establish a domicile in Belize. It is not cheap and a guaranteed income of $100,000 annually is a requirement.. Among other things!!!!!!!!!!

Most people originate in Belize City main airport then get a taxi to ferry port so they can go to Caye Caulker
You are not wrong. Belize gained their independence in 1981.
Would Belize be a good place for an American to retire to?

Could be yes. The infrastructure is dated but if you like laid back beach life then yes
