A Mal is in my future - for personal protection/family companion. As much as it pains me, I can admit that I cannot take on a Mal right now with what I have on my plate. So until that time, I will continue to follow you, soaking in all the info and getting myself/my home/my life ready for a Mal.

I'm actually loving how this particular puppy is appearing to be, for a mal. Very easy to focus and intuitive. Nice pup 💕

I have been watching your videos and want to thank you for showing these dogs in real life. There are too many people that want these dogs that have never owned a dog they have personally trained. I love your honesty and commitment to your dogs. I am waiting till I retire to make sure I have an everyday companion and a dog that goes with me everywhere. I have raised German Shepherds mostly that I have trained. The Mal has always been a dog I have wanted but I understand the time it takes to make them a great family protection dog. Bringing mine home in about 3- 4 weeks, her name is going to be storm as well! But these videos have been amazing and can’t wait to start implementing all of this!

I just recued a 7 month old Mal, but I will need to start with the same things to teach her name, sit, recall, etc. She has never really been trained and was found roaming the streets in Texas. I really appreciate all the Malinois videos to help me make the right decisions from the get go.

Great channel just earned a subscriber and I’m looking forward to the future episodes as I just got a Malanoia puppy

Last week my husband adopted what he thought was a German Sheperd mix puppy from the pound, but turns out to be a Belgian Malinois mix puppy on closer inspection. We started doing research and realized that we are WAY in over our heads. Our first and current dog is a.......Shih Tzu. So technically we're not inexperienced dog owners?! Lol. Anyways, we are playing catch up and Zod is right around 9 weeks old. We have been working on sit and "look at me" and lots of play. But right now we're mainly scrambling to get caught up to speed. So thank you for the information and I will be watching a lot of your videos.

Great work (and good student). There are moments I’m glad that I got my malinois girl from the professional breeder & trainer in the final phase of her puberty, after protection/bite initial training (with almost no obedience habits imprinted) - just because of that hard time with these wild small beasts. You’re totally right in everything you say about malinois puppies, and it is great pleasure to watch your videos. Respect, thanks a lot, have a good time with Storm 👍

Maligator Mom same here, she was 1.5y old - “made” for client who wanted her to be his personal guard, and he insisted he will train obedience later on his own. I do have required experiences, patience etc. (to be able raise mal puppy), problem is my time.

I actually rescued a belgian malenois when he was four months old. He is now 8 months and he’s starting to learn. I think I taught him to many tricks at the beginning and not enough of the basic fundamentals so he doesn’t listen very well for recal but he’s good at stay. He is a mix and the bestest boy!! First time dog owner and didn’t know what a malenois was before getting Hollywood. If you have any tips for training a rescue or a 8 month old pupp please share!!!!(: thanks a lot

Hi. Ran across your videos and love them. We’re getting a male Akita companion dog next week and I am planning on using your techniques even though Akitas are way different. Supposedly harder to train. Any advice you can offer? We’ve had 4 Akitas before and they were good dogs but we want to do a more involved training program than we’ve done before. Thanks

My Akita cross BM Puppy 10 week old i think he is ? is amazing us . hes really clever . and picking everything we teach him up . hes going to be Big too BTW . i have my worries i will fail with him . so much to learn him its a little overwhelming . tbh . i am glad i found you . The grand children have been this weekend and hes had the run of the house . and the teaching has slipped . and hes got away with stuff and gone into rooms and upstairs. will it be ok to pick his training up again . or will he know he can do stuff ? lol . hardly any accidents in the home . And taking food gently and slowly . He can Sit and Paw . and wait . and tries to put his paws up . i havnt got onto that one yet . lol

Curious...do your older dogs "help" train the puppy? Meaning do they help the lil girl figure some things out?

How did you get your Mal puppy to be engaged with you, and not want to wonder off an do it’s own thing? I have a Mal puppy and it’s been hard getting her to engage and know that I more fun than whatever she finds interesting.

My 13 week Malinois nips at my hands when luring with food and those puppy teeth sharp! . Any suggestions ?

Ed Albanese as soon as you bring your puppy home! Just set her up for success in retrieving the ball by using a small sectioned off area where she has little choice but to bring the ball back to you.

Aww thank you so much ☺️ but no, I am not a professional trainer. I am a huge advocate of working with a professional though. I wouldn’t have been able to be successful in integrating three Malinois into my family if it weren’t for working with a professional trainer 😊💜

I follow you on tictok as well. We live on a large farm we are ALWAYS working. So we want a dog that wants to constantly be working as well and came across a malinois breeder. We go visit puppies tomorrow but my boyfriend is hesitant due to price. But I think it's going to be completely worth it. I have been researching and researching. And I think this dog will be perfect for our family. We also have a 3yr old and 6yr old. He's scared the dog will attack the kids but I've seen so so many videos of mals with their kids and it looks like, if socialized properly. A malanois will be perfect for my kids, and us. We have many things we'll be asking of this dog. Tracking, retrieving, herding, guarding, and other tricks just because. This dog will not be taught to attack anything but just to be there. I understand protecting is already instinc to them as is in my blue heeler. I will be saving all your videos so I can continue to watch them and learn. Is there any advice you might have for me moving forward and getting one of these brilliant beings?

Simply measure out your days rations according to the feeding suggestions found on the label of your food. Set it aside and use that for your days training sessions.

Alicia For these sessions I use raw food. Storm likes Titan raw food and we also use Primal raw patties sometimes. I put the links for both of these are in the description of this video! 😊

Alex Kim sooo many variables there it’s nearly impossible for me to say lol I personally have never had a problem with potty training. Crate training is a huge help in this process and Malinois are pretty smart and pick up on things more quickly than your “average” dog 😉
