Beko fridge repair - replace temperature sensor
Remember that fridge electronic components are under high voltage !!! Before you try to repair it and replace temperature sensor swich off the power.
Solder joints must be insulated with a heat shrink tubing!
The fridge freezer that I had repaired kept cooling all the time, and didn't turn off. The malfunction of the fridge freezer is often caused by a damaged temperature sensor. It's an inexpensive item.
Replacing temperature sensors is simple if you have a minimal understanding of electronics and are able to solder. I's also possible to buy a sensor with a suitable plug so there is no need to solder. The biggest problem is usually finding these sensors. In the video, I showed how to get to the Evaporator Sensor. Unfortunately, the thermistor is not where I expected it to be. I decided not to waste time and to tear any more thermal insulation. I put the new sensor against the metal plate on the back of the refrigerator. It works! If it still did not work properly, I would replace the sensor in the Evaporator.

My fridge freezer is a Beko model CCFM1582W. Is the thermostat in the dial/light assembly located in the top of the fridge? If so how do i get this assembly out? Its too cold! Any help would be much appreciated thanks

Good video. You need to correct the brand name in the title to Beko.
I have exactly the same problem with my beko. Had it’s for 10 years and suddenly it’s freezing all my vegetables!!! Would be super useful to have a link to parts that could be bought but anyhow thanks so much for this video Will not buy another beko. They should make this a replaceable part. Pretty unforgivable really.

Our top compartment is not getting cold. Only the freezer is working. What could be the reason?

Hi, the problem you are likely having is short of refrigerant.
Hi My beko fridge freezer The top part is freezing as well I check the temperature sensor with Multimeter it is showing resistance but still it is freezing ? Any idea please what will be the problem ?

Could be the pcb board but unlikely to be - cheap enough to replace the small internal one by the light inside - the rear one is about £30 roughly

В каких моделях беко такое расположение датчика? И бывает ли два датчика температуры? Могут ли они находится один на боковой стенке под колпаком а другой в испарителе запененной части? Это я спрашиваю про холодильный отсек.

how do you where thermistor was placed? besides I didn't notice the original one. I have exact the same problem with my whirlpool fridge. It seems to be broken, so I have to detach it. I put a new thermistor inside the fridge against the back panel (the controller and pcb plate are inside, so it's ok). the upper chamber temp is ok but in the freezer it's too cold (about -13F). I think that is because the evaporator temp is lower than the back panel inside the fridge. I'd replace the new one to the stock position removing the insulation but I don't where it actually is and the scheme is too obscure to find it. thanks.

Maybe you had the range measurement set to 20kΩ?

@@k-nemo Yes, I have done it on 20k and tried the same thing more than once. My problem I don't know how to solve it for more than a year, which is that the refrigerator has a lot of ice so the ventilation holes are clogged and the cooling becomes weak, but the freezer works in good condition.

i cannot find a replacement sensor to buy anywhere. any ideas where i can get one(UK)?
