Being Patient in an Impatient World with Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche

Modern society moves at an ever-increasing pace, with convenience and seemingly endless opportunities available with a tap of a finger on our phones. This convenience has made us quite impatient. What do we do when we are impatient with our spiritual progress? In this monthly teaching, Mingyur Rinpoche gives us advice on how to be patient with our practice - using all aspects of life, day by day, to connect with awareness.

I get sooo impatient during driving but I remember Rinpoche’s advice to return to my breath, and then watch the emotion… and then sometimes think of the object as my teacher (of patience). On going struggle !

2.5 hours in one session? That’s too much! Even back before our busy, internet times the masters have recommended doing short but good sessions - 5, 10, 15, 30mins , and doing many of them ❤ I’m very bad at it!

Do I start again at a shorter time if i’ve got out of the habit for meditation? For those of us who are Autistic with ADHD it is almost impossible to create habits as if the habit for one day is not continued, then the habit is lost. Also, does medical Cannabis or ADHD stimulants hinder the path to awareness & enlightenment? Would be grateful for some advice.

Can somebody answer me a question? If i understand it correctly, enligthenment means realizing, that borders are always constructed and in reality everything is one. But why would we try to achieve this realization? Whats the point of it?

Enlightening refers to the process of gaining deeper understanding, insight, and awareness that leads to a greater sense of clarity, wisdom, and inner peace. It's a transformative experience that sheds light on one's true nature, the world, and the interconnectedness of all things. Enlightening experiences can: 1. Reveal new perspectives and understanding 2. Challenge limiting beliefs and assumptions 3. Foster personal growth and transformation 4. Increase self-awareness and introspection 5. Promote a sense of connection to something larger 6. Bring a sense of peace, calm, and inner clarity 7. Enhance creativity, inspiration, and innovation 8. Encourage empathy, compassion,

    The method to break in samadhi. 1.

Yesterday I have found myself in a strange unconscious state and when something negative happen and people let me down I cling to Minguir Rinpoche and I am needy, because of this sudden insecurity and in those dark times Minguir Rinpuche is the only being I trust totally.
