I make my own skirts now

As an older woman, I can say that I regret the way I dressed as a young woman. The co sequences have been deep. It's has taken years to make peace with myself. I look at these young women dressed as I did and realize how messed up they are in the head. Ways they don't even realize. Nor do they realize the long-term consequences of their decisions. Over the years, I lost my Godly feminity. I am now reclaiming it. To say it's eye-opening.

No, Jael. She was a hero who Deborah prophesied would steal the victory from Barak because Barak was being cowardly. This woman was not immodest, she realized that she and Everyone she knew was in danger from the enemy of Israel and she killed a man who had murdered thousands of her people and was regarded a hero. She was praised publicly by the leadership in Israel at a time when the one leading actually WAS following the one true God. Please be more careful when you accuse the children of God of being possessed by demons. Instead it would be better to pray for her and ask God to set her free if she's bound or open her eyes​ if she's blinded. All too often we are too quick to be derogatory to a sister because that makes us more special because we saw the demon or the sin. This just exposes our own pride to the public. Are you in the states or over seas? Thrifting is also an option, but there are some options with various stores depending on your price point and preferences. Old navy, Gap, Forever 21, Cotton On, Lands End, Mango, Jcrew, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, DISSH, Asos, Banana Republic, Primark, H&M, Boden, and there are also online shops. Type in what you are looking for and you will also be introduced to other shops. I hope this is helpful in some way. I tend to focus on natural fabric, so I look for that specifically in some of these stores. GOD bless you for your efforts to please HIM, sweet sister .

Have you tried Ann Taylor Petite collection? They often have a lot of modest clothing and it’s super affordable secondhand like eBay or Poshmark!

If both men and women practice modesty, submission and self control, they can truly have a Christ center marriage/relationship. I would add in respect and gratitude, both of these can fit under submission and self control technically.

Hey there! It’s just jojoba oil. I use it to push back my cuticles and to remove the old nails. Any oil will do though!

I always worry when I hear somebody start to speak about the Bible and say “Well, what you have to understand is that back in that culture…” You can brush off just about anything in the Bible if you can say without proof that it’s just for that culture. We need to start only using the cultural argument if the Bible also uses it. Just because something was cultural at one time does not mean God did not want us to continue it for all time. Let’s let the Bible tell us if it’s cultural or if it’s for all Christians.

Hey there! I don’t have links since I buy most of my clothing secondhand - but the blue dress is a brand called flying tomato. The brown dress is lulus, and the pink/blue floral dress is billabong. I would check eBay and Poshmark. Those are my favorite online sources outside of local thrift stores. Unfortunately, the white dress is an Amazon one, but I checked and it is no longer available 😢

Hey Sarah, to be honest I too am still quite a toddler Christian and have never had the opportunity to fast. I’ve always been either pregnant or breastfeeding so food restrictions have been off the table. My husband has fasted before though. You can fast from all sorts of things, but apparently food is the most profound. Great topic idea! I’ll add it to my notes 😊

I shop thrift stores mostly. I also use search terms like floral maxi, puff sleeves, or prairie style when searching on secondhand platforms like Poshmark or eBay. I don’t worry about brand as long as I love the style 🙂 Hope this helps you!

I agree with what you said, although I have a different spin on the 1 Peter passage that you might find interesting. Up until a few years ago this passage always puzzled me. Braiding my hair is immodest? What?! Then one day it hit me. At the end of 1 Peter 3:3 it literally says “clothing”. So, we can’t wear clothes? Then it says our clothing is our submission and gentle and quiet spirit. Well, our husbands will surely be happy if they come home and see us wearing nothing but a gentle and quiet spirit! 😂 I believe the verse is not saying not to wear gold, pearls, braided hair and clothing, just that those are not our true adornments that beautify us as women. If we adorn ourselves with the inward things then the outward will come after and I believe the outward looks different for different women and cultures; so instead of focusing on what not to wear I think it’s better to cultivate the inward traits of a biblical woman; which I believe you’re doing! Being feminine doesn't necessarily mean wearing pink frilly dresses. Some of us were tom boys growing up. I was. You can be feminine without losing your personality. Maybe try slightly loose cotton pants that flare out at the bottom. They swish when you walk..Feminine pants . Or pale grey cargo pants with a pink T shirt and feminine bracelet or headband.

This is a beautifully filmed video, but as a Christian woman trying to understand her femininity, unfortunately, I did not find it very helpful in terms of content. I'm hoping the next ones will be better. Kind regards.

Umm in Catholicism Adam and Eve share equal responsibility as you claim men are the Head so he should have not listened to Eve but he was weak and took it you also claim women are weaker

Modesty is subjective. It becomes an idol. Dress as you please, but dresses didn't protect the Duggar girls, me or many other Fundamental girls. Jesus makes us pure. Dresses are easier access for perverts. In the Bible men didn't wear pants and they could still see who was feminine and masculine.

I agree. Dress as you please - but do a genuine heart check before you leave.

I am doing EVERYTHING wrong. I dye my hair, I wear makeup, I am outspoken and do not take a backseat. Sorry 🤷 I was raised different. I can't go back at this point.

I don’t see anything wrong with any of those things. As long as you are being respectful and submissive to your husband, none of those qualities are a big deal! 🤗♥️

@@AnnaDysett my husband and I ended up divorcing it was not something that could be salvaged. He did not take the dominant role in a relationship and I pretty much had to do everything. I know that's wrong and a lot of people's eyes but that's what happened.

Although I agree with you about being submissive @AnnaDysett the Bible lists a REQUIREMENT OF THE MAN for the woman to be submissive… First of all before I say the requirement of the man… that chapter in Ephesians begins with “Submit yourselves TO ONE ANOTHER because of your reverence for Christ” (Ephesians 5:21)… it begins with MUTUAL submission husbands and wives to EACH OTHER. Not just a one way street. Now for the requirement of the males: “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.” The man is REQUIRED by God to love her and treat her with sacrificial agape love AS CHRIST LOVED THE CHURCH AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR HER. He is to pray for her and sanctify her in prayer the same way Christ presented the church as blameless and holy. God doesn’t expect women to be doormats. If you’re not submitting to a Godly man, and you’re trying to “submit” to an abusive man (for example), that’s not Biblical AT ALL. Submission goes as far as to HONOR CHRIST. If it dishonors Christ or HIS TEMPLE (your body), it’s no longer Biblical. And it’s not acceptable by God. He doesn’t encourage women to be deceived and submit to bad guys. He expects them to submit to GODLY MEN. And why wouldn’t we? Nothing is more attractive physically spiritually emotionally etc than a Godly man!

That's funny because these days there are women all over social media talking about how they'd much rather be living this kind of lifestyle, working outside the home sucks, and they were sold a lie. 🤔
