    I love Leina’s candour & openness. Like her, I also feel that I need to tone down my behavior with some ppl. Being around some ppl just makes us feel more self-conscious as they’re more prim or self-righteous. Leina and I could be such good friends if I had known her in real life. I’m a female English teacher in singapore.

    Yeah as much as I love visiting Japan I’m similar except I don’t like the whole whoever is the oldest in the workplace can never be challenged on anything dynamic because not all age comes with wisdom in my experience. Plus I enjoy all the tourist benefits and discounts too much anyway!🤣

    Hi Takashi, thank God I was led to your videos while scrolling through shorts on KZread. I am also looking for a a relative, my adopted father has a biological daughter in Japan who is from what I understand a Lawyer. My adopted father is from Bougainville in Papua New Guinea. 🇵🇬 My father never gave us her name or address. He met her mother when he went to study at Sapporo University.     I feel the same way as her, I'm half German but born and raised in Germany so I consider myself 100% native German and would always call it my home. I feel like it's easier to get away with mixed heritage in European countries because people don't have a distinctive look for the most part (excluding stereotypes) while it's easier to spot a foreigner in an asian country.

    @@hahshdjdbdhjhfhfjfbfjdbf5253 You probably worded that wrong, you can't identify as a race but I assume you meant that you feel like a German because you've been living in Germany for a long time/since birth :) I think that's totally valid, if you grew up in Germany and with German culture speaking the language, you should be considered as a German even with different heritage.

    The most comfortable place for people to be is the place they feel most accepted for who they are. That is not always the culture in which they were raised. There are many interviews on this channel with immigrants to Japan who will never move away.

    Le comunicazioni interpersonali sono molto più libere negli altri paesi. Persino il comportamento è diverso. Pensare che per un giapponese una donna a 30 anni non si può più vestire in un certo modo, mentre da noi in Italia se hai 30 anni sei una ragazzina. Ma anche i comportamenti sociali sono molto diversi, ed è un motivo per cui molti vostri connazionali, quando vengono in Italia, non hanno frequentazioni giapponesi, perché si sentirebbero in qualche modo " legati" alle vostre consuetudini. Oggi una vostra connazionale si è sposata qui in Italia, ha 30 anni per noi è normale sposarsi a 30 anni, per voi sarebbe troppo tardi e si penserebbe che lei abbia avuto qualcosa di male sino ad adesso per non trovare nessuno.

    😊 Yes, being half Japanese, speaking the language and growing up in Japan and the United States, I must switch gears and speaking Japanese or English. There are things that are lost in translation by either cultures. So I must change those things that I present in each culture in order to fit in. Whether I'm in either Nation, I can never fully share everything that is a part of me because it is lost in translation by the other culture.

    i recently learned most surnames came from occupations so it wouldn't surprise me if their ancestors took care of children or worked as midwifes potentially. don't quote me on that but ever since I learned that I like to play this game with all last names even when it doesnt apply

    @@pyrojkl The surname Bambino is very rare in Italy, there are only 70 families with that surname, the surname Bambini is more widespread (about 900 families), but they are still considered uncommon surnames. They are medieval surnames born as a sign of devotion towards baby Jesus (Gesù bambino) or his mother Mary as a baby (Maria bambina).
