Being All Washed Up
Ойын-сауық
The plaintiff purchased a used washing machine from the defendant. However, it turned out to be a piece of junk that doesn’t work, so the plaintiff is suing for a refund. The defendant argues the washing machine was in excellent condition. The plaintiff just put too much soap into it, so the defendant believes he owes nothing.

Yeah, no way this guy sold a working, 3-4 year old washer that was $2000 new for $200. I also wonder if he even owned the washer, or if it actually belonged to the deceased homeowner (where he was somehow just living there).

but the machine still worked for washing clothes , it just only used cold water , but hey for 200 bucks a modern washer that only uses cold water is STILL a good deal and it will STILL wash clothes . the old plaintiff was being ridiculous .
I think the defendant sold a washing machine that belonged to the owner of the house! Something fishy about it all!

that old goat didnt lose anything because the washer still worked and still could clean clothes , it just uses cold water to do it , big deal . some of the most ungrateful and unreasonable people in this world are the elderly .
I’m wondering if he had legal right to sell it. Old guy , can’t afford a car, buys $2000 machine? Probate!!

It's really stupid of the defendant to sell a washer and not have running water to demonstrate its use to a buyer. Stupid, crooked defendant

I'm sure the washer and dryer were $2000 together, not just the washer. Lying defendant

Sounds like the dead owner of the house bought the washer for $2k but the defendant bought it for less form the owner and used it for years then sold it to the plaintiff.
I absolutely love the plaintiff ❤ too cute. Poor bud.
It wasn’t even his, what about the estate?
Appliances are always a sketchy situation when buying used from a private seller. I've been screwed a couple of times in the past. The 1st rule I've learned from experience is walk away if the appliance isn't set up and running. The second rule is nobody touches it after I've handed over money and I'm not there to see it unhooked up and loaded onto a truck. And the 3rd rule is that if I'm paying for delivery, I don't sign off on it until it's in place, hooked up and running and everything works as it did before I handed my money over to the seller. 👍
Washer ? He hardly knew her 😂

He's slippery because at first he said his girlfriend didn't tell him for 2 weeks, then it was 3 days. He had shifty eyes too which is usually a sign of a liar.

Two hundred for a two-grand machine sounds a little too good to be true.

5 years old and the front loaders are J. The tree huggers thought they were a great idea to save on water but they're junk and you won't see them anymore except for the ones the stores are still trying to unload.

@@getin3949 I had one and it only lasted a few months past the warranty. It's only my Wife and I so we never over used it. You're right just junk.
Dang people have so many excuses. No water, no car, no info.
Even though it was sold "as is", if the seller said "IT WORKS" and then it doesn't, then that (in my book) is a scam!

I never buy used appliances, people don't buy new ones unless the ones they have are not working or fixing to not work, and then they don't feel a bit bad about screwing someone else to put a few bucks in their pocket by selling them THEIR piece of crap they are replacing. Nope, mines coming with a warranty!

If they deliver and install it maybe. As soon as you handle it you could’ve broken it yourself.
I’m happy the plaintiff got money for being on the show at least. 😂
I wonder if any race besides the one sitting before her if she would be asking for proof of purchase from the caretaker. How does she know he purchased it. Also isn't she suspicious the caretaker left in a hurry?

No he stole it out of the house he was staying in taking care of the two old people that died! That house is probably missing all electronics and appliances
Hmm..I'm wondering if that was even his machine to sell. I mean 200 bucks for a front loading washer is a red flag.
That machine wasn’t even the defendants to sell 🤦🏽♀️.
The lady gets what she wants, so he spends $2k on a washer, but can't afford the water bill?
I just bought a whirlpool top loader washing machine, it was $800. Super expensive 🤦🏼♀️
THE PLAINTIFF IS ADORABLE. I BELIEVE THE DEFENDANT KNEW IT DIDN'T WK HELL IT PROBABLY BELONGED TO THE FOLKS WHO PASSED AWAY. I FEEL BAD FOR THE PLAINTIFF BUT IT'S AS IS
It's not the sellers obligation to teach the buyer how to use the product. I'm not sure why she grilled him for that.

Probably because it’s a kind thing to do since they know each other
$200 for that machine is a pretty good deal.
I don't think he knew what he was doing cuz it's digital...
I don't know why this reminds me of an I Love Lucy episode 😅
Ain’t now washer 2000 bucks!! Maybe wager and dryer but come on
Mr D knew it didnt work body language and quick responses excuses SCAMMERS
The plaintiffs witness/moral support looks like Willie Nelson.🤔
Sounds to me like it's a digital and he doesn't understand computer technology so maybe he could get some money a little younger to help him out
What do people expect when they only want to pay that little and used?
The defendant dumped off a lemon, not a nice man.
This washing machine needs work
He got his $200 worth!
Hopefully next, based on true crime story doesn't come from this case...couple dies at same time, no one knows where 3 next of kin live, care-taker "lost his car" (probably in the nearest lake), furthermore, on national TV being sued for selling high-end appliance from a deceased person(s) property, which to me, sounds like a crime in itself. 🤦♂

I highly doubt that the planttiff had any right to sell anything out of the house. If he was living there while taking care of the owner you can bet that everything in the house belonged to the owner. The defendant stated that no one could find the children, which wouldn't be that hard since he knew what states they live in. If he hasn't found them then they most likely have no idea their father is deceased and there's property to deal with. I think the defendant knows exactly where the kids are and hasn't told them that their father passed away so he could get rid of his things and keep the money before he tells them. They obviously weren't close, but I'm sure they'd want to know about the death and the property so they could take care of it before the state takes it. The defendant looks like someone who would do that and not think twice about it.
If the defendant was just a tenant until the landlord and wife both died, then suddenly after their death become the care-taker of the house, who appointed him, either way doesn't that mean that the washer isn't even his to sell, it's part of the estate left to the 3 children. Also the plaintiff hasn't realised that the machine shouldn't be connected to a hot and cold supply of water, but just cold as the machine heats the water to the temperature according to the cycle chosen...
Doo-frez-nee. 😂😂
