East Coast Beast That’s understandable,there is a lot of poverty in China but if I were them I would try not to pressure someone to buy something because that could make someone uncomfortable and then they wouldn’t buy anything at all. Instead they should try to be calm and act more outgoing because it’s a natural reaction for a human to be friendly if another is nice to them. I’m sure there would be a higher chance for someone to purchase something from them if they acted like that.

Hmm.. I agree too. But the thing is these small shops all sell similar things which is why they always try to "pressure" people to buy stuff. Otherwise, why would someone buy your shirt over another stores exact shirt? It sucks because if they don't do this then they will have little to no sales. Man, I am a chinese. I just wanna say, I am not defending those retailers in this video. But I think it's not just China, u can see it in many other countries too. And I don't see it as a problem for peddlers to try to gain more money cuz this is their job. And just from this video, you jump to the above conclusion which from my opinion is a little bit narrow.

I know it’s an old video but damnnnn that jacket went from $700 to $60 😂😂 crazy to think how much profit they’d make if someone didn’t bargain as hard as collin.

When I was in high school. there was one time we need to buy clothes for the whole class for an event, my Chinese language teacher, her friend, an English teacher and some of my classmates, teamed together to bargain in a local market similar to the one in this video. When they first asked the price, the seller replied in a very determined tone: 75(RMB) each, not negotiable! Then the teachers surrounded that pathetic guy and started bargaining. 30 minutes later my classmates went back to the bargaining site and heard that guy said: 13(RMB) each plus free delivery! Bargaining is part of Chinese culture and it could be fun sometimes.

I can't believe I watched some guy shopping for fake stuff for 22 minutes it felt like an hour wow
