I love how you added more than one camera angle, I feel like I´m watching Bob Ross!
Very practical review and introduction to signal compression. I've used a couple of these units; the MDX1400 for recording and the MDX4600 for live work. Both are very reliable and do the job, though in a somewhat brutish and amateur way. That's OK for the hobby musician who's not planning on spending their retirement savings on gear and just wants to improve the sound a bit. They're worth it just for the noise gate if nothing else, but are effective for compression, and as stated are great tools for learning and experimenting.
Thanks a lot for this film.
I've been doing home recording for a couple years and I'm just understanding eq and compression. I've been wanting to add some analog gear to my setup, and this video really helped.
Bro, love the aesthetic, you rock! And so does Behringer!
Great channel! I love this
I love that early 90s vibe in this video :)
Great recording! I love the organic yes tight sound of this analog recording.
So happy to watch your next episode. Thank you very much. Very interesting and inspiring. Cheers!

Thanks- Hope all is well!
Oh my fucking God I love your production value! This is masterful work!
I have been enjoying watching all your videos on the channel. You have inspired me to get out my old Yamaha AW2816 recorder and get back to basics...limit options and try to get creative...as best I can. Thank you.

Those older Yamahas are sweet! I hope to collect and review that era of standalone units in the future. It's always fun (sometimes frustrating ha ha) to create limitations on yourself- it forces you to be creative. Thanks for stopping by- I appreciate your support!
How this channel isn't huge is beyond me....I picked up a Sony PCM-R300 and find your channel fascinating for a 40 year old such as myself...keep it up! If you like rock music feel free to follow me I would really appreciate it you may enjoy it, it's all Florida based
I love this. Are there more videos coming? I could listen to your cheerful and positive voice all day! Have a thumbs up, cheers from Sweden!

Good to hear from you! Man, I'm just so busy in daily life I just don't have or make enough time to make more content. Hopefully in the future I'll make more.
Great video. Found one of these for dirt dirt cheap and wanted to know if it was reasonable. Thanks for the nice overview
The vocalist sounds scarily like James Taylor
This guy said play with the knobs til it sounds good, ....just give me the presets!!!
