Martin sang this whole song behind Dave and you realized it after 7:30 minutes haha :) That's great.

Also please check the concert 1998 Cologne - that¨s when Depeche Mode surprisingly threw a tour when they pretty much got up from the dead. They did "the best of Depeche Mode songs" tour and it's pretty kicking right from the start. People didn't believe they would ever see Dave again after his clinical death... and bang, he appeared in full strength. His vocals were never like they were here, in 93-94, but damn, he was powerful!

They have just annouced more tour dayes for Jan & Feb next year. You should really try to see them Seph, it is truly a magical experience

Those “hanging thing”s actually represent each member of the band. You can see them on the SOFAD album cover and the artwork for the single releases for “I Feel You”.

Behind the Wheel is CLASSIC Depeche Mode. Song is still great after all these years!

Different locations filmed in Europe but the stage is the same ;) The « hanging things » some kind of totems as on the SOFAD and I FEEL YOU cover. We don’t see them always visible on some songs and hided on others with the back screens. They were used only with song without film projection

Martin always sings 2 to 3 songs each concert,typically 2, its usually in middle or toward the last third to give Dave a breather.he sings significant background vocals on lots of songs this one included.

Great reaction once again brother! Believe it or not this is the turning point of the concert. As good as the other songs sounded, everything from this point on is truly magic. You will never hear better versions of any of the songs that will be performed. Dave really finds his pocket and his voice is just unbelievable for the rest of the concert, It actually gets better and stronger as the concert goes on.

I think on this tour the band and also the audiences were at their peak, all at a perfect time in their lives... the band were on fire and fed off the mad audiences. Good times 🤗🤗

For me, this point during the concert marks the beginning of a holy grail of live DM performances.. I LOVE this and LOVE the several that come right after. And this song in 101 will forever be the best version to me, but this ranks right up there.

About colors. Anton Corbijn, who designed stage, told on some interview, that each song has own color and if you will look precisely through whole devotional concert, it looks like a truth.

Love your reactions 👍🏼I’ve been following your channel for quite some time now and it’s so cool to see how your channel evolved. 😉 Regarding the Devotional tour, there are a few songs that are not part of the concert you’re watching. Songs such as « Death’s Door », One Caress, A Question Of Lust (all sung by Martin) and Get Right With Me are part the Devotional Tour as well but we’re not added to DVD of the tour (except Death Door but as bonus footage lol). You can easily find these videos on KZread . Can be added as well two songs from the Exotic/World Tour (that followed the Devotional tour) : I Want You Now (by Martin) totally remixed by Alan wilder which is incredible and A Question of Time. Maybe you could react to the videos from Songs Of Faith & Devotion as well ?This will definitely close the Alan Wilder era with DM before starting the Ultra era with the group as a trio. Keep it up Seph 🙏🏼👍🏼♥️

Martin is coming up Seph. You’ll get your Martin fix : D ! This was the first Depeche tour I saw and it was a feast for the senses. It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years. Your reaction to this tour brings back great memories.

I'm eager to see you react to "In Your Room" and "Personal Jesus". :) Oh, and Judas!

Dave's idols, among others, were David Bowie and Freddy Mercury. Dave is the best front man EVER.

You are about 3 songs to get to the Martin tracks... but ooooh what a triplet it is...

It may be that Martin only does one number himself during this tour - or at least in the official Devotional publication. Since they can change the song set quite a bit between gigs, maybe he did a different song during some gigs. But in the official publication he only makes one, "Judas", I think.

He sang Death's Door on that Tour. The Footage exist but got edited out in the Official Release you only hear It in the End Credits. He also did A Question Of Lust at some Concerts instead of Judas.

The girls are sitting on the shoulders of their boyfriends/male friends. I remember being a petite young thing 25 years ago. I was too short to see over the crowd, and for a while some of the boys in my group liked to show of their strength in public this way.

To listen to Martin you will have to wait several songs until "Judas"... only song.

With the Devotional video you'll only get footage of Martin singing Judas and at the end credits audio only of him singing Deaths Door. On the Songs Of Faith And Devotional Live Album you get the SOFAD album track by track live, so you get to hear Martin do Judas and One Caress live.

Also the Live SOFAD album is from the Devotional Tour so the stuff you hear on the Devotional video is basically the same, from more than one tour date and put together in the order on the album. Get Right With Me also wasn't in Devotional but is on the live SOFAD album.

The best version made more brilliant by the crowds reaction.

Regarding those hanging shapes. If you look at the album cover you will see those shapes sort of covering their faces. The lighting is also matching with the album cover.

On the violation tour this song morphed into route 66,I used to have a bootleg tape of it years ago.

The things that were on stage were changing, at least in Barcelona in Frankfurt I suppose that too

At first: I was just a type of guy who carried his first girlfriend on this tour in 1993 on my shoulders. (It was the first and the last time) I think: no one does that anymore. At second: The present from Mart`s guitar play, is on top in 1993 and is only topped 1994 by A?OT increased and never reached again. (yeah, they´ve been trying again and again and again.... since noon, but... At third: BTW was even more in 1990 live! SPOILER: after that came Router 66 in transition. All this as a basis for the CASUALTY MIX, I thought. Those were also the closing sequences of this live version 1993. At 4th: Why do I always see on your chanel: UNAVAIABLE VIDEOS ARE NOT DISPLAYED? Actually 7 are there and I want more. (I am from Germany and used GOOGLE Translate.)

The ones i have are actually rather good But they do have a delay of about quarter of a second. this reallyyyyyy messes up the video for me. it makes it look like they are singing before the sound comes out haha
