Ugh it's really not fair to say some people are just stuck in their own style when you fill a room with sand and glue hay to the walls. Good interior designers understand that people are LIVING every day in these houses and need it to be functional.

It's not that they are not ready for "NEW" its just that no one expects certain atrocities like sand in their living room or cardboard liquid nailed to the walls. I mean come on. that is not design, it is vandalism.

Doug and Hildy were mostly awful. I disagree when they say that the neighbors were also responsible for the crap designs because I've seen shows where the neighbor has said, "they're going to hate this" and they have.

Come on, can you say you stand behind the Coney Island look of Red and Yellow Striped Walls with Beach Sand on the floors ? Who should be expected to live with that ? Or get used to it as out of the box? I would be so upset, if not furious..

Doug was ALMOST as bad as Hildi in all honesty. He literally said in this that “the ratings paid for it all!” He’s going for shock value. They had tons of designers who only get paid when they on the episode. Of course, they are trying to gain episodes with ratings!

Rachael is usually friendly with her guests however with these guys she didn't seem the least bit interested. Couldn't even fake it!

I just watched the new episode and the “decorators” were horrific. That poor couple were very upset.

Loved this show was a huge fan ... Glad to have them back on the air !

What about the awkward moment on the show when Laura asked has she seen any men by a teen age boy.

That was a terrible example of a “fail”. They should’ve showed the straw walls or sand on the floor.

Really the majority of the old designs are cringe worthy......really bad, poor people. Stay away from those wild patterns and colors. Who could live in those spaces for any extended period of time 🙃💯

Trading Spaces was WILD! That show was cringy and hilarious!

Uh-huh, right. Ty and Doug are just over a year younger than me. Also younger than my husband and our friends. None of us look greasy and strung out. I'd venture most people age better than they have.
