I've been a fan of Derek's dances for years. I've never seen Hayley dance before and I had NO IDEA what kind of level she was at in comparison with Derek. I guess I assumed she'd look at best like one of pro-dancers (which would be great). But she's on a level all her own even above the other pros just like Derek is. Man, talk about you two finding your Match!!! At least in this dance...you guys could not have done any better. It was as perfect as perfect can get. Jaw dropping, mind blowing, artistic PERFECTION from BOTH of you 150%. Thank you both that I could witness that. It warmed and blessed my heart so much.

Couldn’t agree more! I was kind of nervous for Hayley when I found out they were doing Paso. But holy crap she kept up with Derek and was at his level. I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her. I’ve been watching her dance over the years and she has greatly improved. She grew up doing contemporary/jazz and only started training in ballroom when she was hired for dwts.

Whats crazy is that she wasn’t a ballroom dancer , she’s a contemporary dancer. That was what she competed with in so you think you can dance . She’s grown and gotten amazingly better !

Sometimes when watching pros do their thing it's so easy to think, "They're just superhuman, and that's how they're that good." But you guys showed us that being the best at your craft isn't magic at all, it's knocking noggins, and blisters on your feet, and tummy aches from pizza rolls, and STILL going out there and DOING THE DAMN THING!! That's some perseverance, grit, and hard work right there to inspire us all. Brava!!

D&H, this was not just the best dance of the show, but possibly one of the most stunning dances to be aired on television of all time.

Derek is a freaking GENIOUS, the lord of dance. With Hayley under his wing, this pair will be the best of the best!

My 7-year old daughter is a budding dancer and she watched with me. One night of dance has her in tap, then jazz, then ballet. It's what she wants, but asks why her feet hurt at the end of the night. I love that you all showed the work, pain, injuries, and ice packs that all go into your work. The finished product is beautiful and smooth, but a lot of time, dedication, sweat, and work comes first. I love that example for my daughter that you're sharing the hard parts too! Thank you!

You guys were literally born not only to dance and with each other but for each other. I have never seen any dance partners move with the singular fluidity that you have. It's not just dancing either, but in everything you do.

It’s Derek’s sound effects for me 😂 The fact that I never would have thought/known any of this happened before the performance it was amazing to watch!!

As a person who can't even walk in high-heels, much less move with grace, I'm blown away! You guys are exquisite.

They dance like they are one person! She’s just incredible!

The dance was amazing. Spanish guitar in the background and the "Taconeo" you do is amazing. Viva el paso doble Espanol. Guapisimo. You both are amazing dancers.

This performance was BREATHTAKING! You both killed it!

I miss seeing Derek dance on dwts. he's a great judge and he deserves to be a judge but his dancing was great

I started watching DWTS with season 3. This is the best dance I’ve seen performed with either stars or pros. No other one comes close. Derek, you and Hayley are well-matched. Choreography was stunning.

It was such a delightful treat to see the harmony, passion, and enmeshment in which you two danced. You're a blessed lady, Hayley. Years ago I saw a show in Fort Lauderdale where Derek took out an older lady from the audience to dance with and I've been jealous since that moment. I'm a soon to be Cuban 63-year-old "young" lady, but I'd toot a horn to dance a salsa with him. Enjoy each other. . . . You guys totally rocked!!!
