Great upload mate 🔥🐠. My mind is opening up to the universe of American cichlids and in particular central/vieja species 🎉. I’m from Australia and you guys from the states are seriously lucky and privileged to have access to a lot of these species.

amazing video. the altifrons was so gorgeous i ordered a group lol. can’t find any real solid info on them online as far as diet and size. would you happen to know what they eat and how big they get??

Thank you very much. Amazing fish albeit very very slow growing. Good clean water with lots of water changes. They are an obligate sand sifting omnivore spa varied low fat diet will be ideal. Let them Sift through the sand . They are a smaller species reaching a maximum of about 9”

Not an easy question to answer as not on food would meet the needs of the vast diversity of Central American species. Variety would be key, low fat foods.
