I mean he returned for one scene in the secret ending of BBS/BBS Final Mix. Then 2012 for DDD, Haley’s voice started to change again slightly. Then 2017, 2.8 you know his voice changed definitely when it sounded a little weird. Then KH3 he improves the voice of Sora.

Honestly, Cody Christians Cloud is probably the best example of someone sounding exactly like the original VA. I never would have known he was voiced by someone else if they hadn’t made such a huge deal about the recastings.

@@tiamod Well, Steve has mostly voiced Advent Children Cloud. Cody is voicing og Cloud. And Cody sounds like a younger version of Steve. So Cody is one of the recasts that were really easy to accept. Then for Tifa, Aerith, Barret, and Red-XIII, as good as the OGs were, the Remake VAs just blow them out of the water.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that Haley Joel Osment has stuck with this franchise, and us fans as the English voice of Sora throughout almost every game that Sora appears in (except for maybe BBS?)? That's some great dedication! Especially for a video game franchise, and one that has spanned multiple consoles over the years! I know other voice actors have stuck with their characters over the years as well, and they're awesome too! But given that Sora is the main character throughout the bulk of the franchise, and the same voice actor has voiced him since the beginning is just...wow!

HSheezy yeah quite sad, Kairi almost feels like a different person now, or rather sounds too much like Xion half the time, and they’ll probably keep it this way because that’s always how the voice of Kairi and Xion was in the JP versions so they probably won’t bother getting Hayden back but... won’t stop me from wishing they did

Kairi felt unnatural in KH3 but that was probably because of the voice actor trying to not sound like Xion. KH3 was the most perfect time to add Hayden back so it would be easier to not sound the same all the time

Alyson sounds more like Kairi when she voices Xion. Her Kairi in KH3 kinda sounded like a generic anime girl. I don’t blame her though, I blame the people in charge of the voice direction. As for Hayden, I would have preferred her, but she was too inconsistent. She was apparently unavailable to the point where Alyson just took her place as Kairi’s official VA.

I just love KH2 so much! Imo it's one of the best games ever.

I gave up on hearing Hayden again for Kairi but I wish she would come back! But omg I didn’t expect them to replace the whole Twilight Town gang! Jessica not being Olette and Hayner’s VA not reprising their roles was the biggest disappointment. It was so hard to listen to them with the new actors 😖 Olette is my favorite original female character in KH so it was pretty upsetting. Jessica has a quality to her voice that the new girl just doesn’t have.

It just sounds really weird hearing another voice other than Nimoy’s coming out of Xehanort. Not even Christopher Lloyd makes it sound natural and he’s great.

I really didn't realize how much of a star-studded cast of celebrities played some of my favorite KH characters. I've seen all of these people atleast once as characters in other titles as themselves.

I wonder why they decided to change Kairi's voice in KH3 with Xion's voice actress. Kairi with another voice in KH3 sounds odd to me. I miss Hayden, she was Kairi from the beginning.

I just watched to actually see him do Sora’s voice because is knew guess Sora’s voice comes out of him, his naturally is so much deeper.

I don't blame Hayden Panetierre wanting Kairi's body lol. She's as best as Kairi.

He ended up playing TRON upwards of five times in his career, but KHII was the first time he’d played him since 1982. And that RIP even applies to the FF7 characters since in FF7R they replaced all the voice actors. I’m not mad about it though, the new VA’s are great but it’s a bit unfortunate. As for in KH, hope KH4 is chock-full of FF characters!!

Right? He was an extremely distinguished actor with an insanely long history of acting, how did he get a voice acting part in one of the whackiest video games ever? Did he audition? Was he asked and accepted? What did he think the game? His character? Such a shame.
