They are, after all, our history. I respect someone who respects and honors that history and works as passionately as Jay does to bring back and maintain them so everyone can appreciate and understand where we've been and how far we've come. It doesn't hurt that his videos are some of the best, most entertaining ones out there. Thanks Jay! It also doesn't hurt that one of the cars he's featured is also one that I'm presently rebuilding, the lowly AH bugeye sprite. Talk about a fun way to spend a rainy day!

What I really love is the breadth of the talent he surrounds himself with in bringing back those marvelous machines. From artisans who can hand craft a complex missing or damaged part to brilliant computer techs who can operate scanning machines and 3D modelig machines to replace parts from mere photographs of the needed part. Just incredible. It wouldn't surprise me at all if automotive museums from aound the country were calling Jay up for his and his crew's expert knowledge and skills. Jay has taken the cliche of being a care taker to these vehicles to an extreme degree. He is the ulitmate care taker and should be proud of what he's accomplished.

That 3D printer @9:22 is a Diemension SST 1200ES printer which cost $35k in 2008. Adjusted for inflation, that's almost $50k in 2023. This does not include the price of the proprietary "filament" it used. Totally worth it for someone in Mr. Lenos position as you can reproduce just about anything. Printers have gotten even better/faster since then including the lower end hobby printer like Bambu Lab printers which are phenomenal. Wonder what printer the shop upgraded to since then.

Frazer-Nash designed gun turrets which were used on aircraft in WW2- the Lancaster bomber had three. Perhaps, a rear gun turret on the back of the car would be an interesting custom version.

i would like to know a little about the financial side of the garage. is it self-sustaining through services that it provides to others or must jay pay everything himself? jay is approaching 70 and he is spending the later years of his life doing something that he loves. i truly admire that. when jay is gone, there will be/should be a leno collection. it is a unique and very personal lifetime collection of vehicles and memorabilia. it is clear that jay owned many of these items long before "jay leno's garage" existed. over time i have learned so much about vehicles and motorcycles of the past that i would probably have missed if i had not seen these videos. i appreciate this knowledge. thank you jay.

Dennis and Jay need their own show together, they're the American version of Clarkson and May. I've never seen anyone mention this in the comments, but in all of the videos out there, Dennis is the only person I've ever seen Jay let drive any of his cars which speaks volumes of the respect Jay has for Dennis.

The shoes! I can remember a day a long time ago when I had the opportunity to drive a Lotus Europa but it didn’t happen, it couldn’t happen. I couldn’t get both of my big feet into the peddle well! There was no way to fit my 2 feet in to the tiny space to clutch and gas at the same time! I couldn’t do it without one of my feet over the brake peddle and the clutch or brake peddle and the gas at the same time. My first and only chance to ever drive a Lotus and there was no way to do it.

The floor colors in the shop caught our attention right away. Seems like the white gives the space more light and is not where people work, and the red hides some of the mess from the fabrication. Or, there was a sale on leftover paint...
