Behind The Scenes | How Uncle Stonnie Wraps Up His Dog Training Day

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

We've been getting lots of emails asking about what Uncle Stonnie does when he isn't making videos, teaching clients, or going on puppy sized adventures. We made a quick video last night showing how we wrap up the training day and decide how structure the next day's puppy training sessions.
If you guys like this video, comment below and we will be sure to add some new videos to the collection.
I hope you guys enjoy!

Ever think of doing a video on tick inspections and removal? Also signs of tick borne symptoms in dogs ect. ? Ticks are bad this year. Don't know if you have that issue in Kentucky.

Seems to be worldwide problem (I am fromGermany). I am still searching for a natural weapon, beside inspection and removal. A dog also has to learn to lay down, be calm, so you can to do this. Specially puppies, full of energy. So at the end, i think, I have to go to the vet, for heavy chemical stuff.

Yup ! I took my guys to get Canine Good Citizen and no one would even touch my boy they were all scared of him and he picked up on that they were all golden retrievers so the teachers had no clue about German Shepherds and they were scared of him. I took my other two to a better Club that knows all the herding breeds they both graduated with flying colors. Then I wanted to advance spunky I went for a place closer and less expensive and we got kicked out of the first class after she already graduated from the Canine Good Citizen at the other place. I wish you were closer to me. I would say 99.9% of the time people who have issues with their dog and the trainer say they're bad dog it is the trainer

Stonnie; what are the inherent traits of a dalmatian? I'm not a breeder; I've owned and rescued a handful. I love the breed...they love a challenge, attach to one person...but love families. High energy. Love to dig...huge long distance runners. I bought my dogs a horse...huge impact. Their instincts do appear... But, what can you add. I can train my dogs...im not a trainer...after watching you; I realize that I just take my dogs on adventures and I wear them out. I welcome any real insight. Thx. Love your channel. I also have 5 Chihuahuas...any tips?

Hey Stonnie, I have a question. My dogs loves the water and we like to take him on our kayak. We just moved to Louisiana and Toledo Bend is a spot we’d love to take them swimming, but we are afraid that an alligator 🐊 might get them. Would you take your dogs in the water? I want to be safe but I also love taking them to the water.

Stonnie we have chocolate lab litter mates brothers , which can make it a little difficult with training. We've used all sorts of leads harnesses , slip, and halti. And one still pulls like a frieght train. We use treats do all that turning and such , it works for a short bit them he goes right back to pulling. Example he pulls one way, so I turn and he walks lose lead fine, turn and straight back to pulling. We keep walking in the same place to get them used to it. We live right next to the beach and would love to be able to walk them on lead at the beach ( NZ rules ) off lead would be great but have no trust in their recall yet Want to get lead training down Any tips please ?

Uncle Stonnie: You are missing a golden opportunity to just train one of those dogs who seems to know the small challenges course inside and out to hold a leash and take the other dogs around. You could claim personal disability and also claim the value of your new "service dog who takes other dogs around the course" as a business deduction.
