Flying the Cessna C175 Skylark - this video will show you the rare and unique 1958 Cessna Skylark. With it's geared GO-300 engine it caused many problems to pilots that didn't fly it by the book.
In this video you'll get an insight into operating this well preserved bird and it's sound.

Just a little note, when you prime it, pull the plunger slowly to fill it with fuel. You can tell there's fuel in it because it will resist quite a bit. And on flying the GO-300, make power changes slowly, very slowly. Don't just chop the power.

Where did this guy learn how to start a Cessna? I'm a 172 pilot. Never did the crazy stuff he did.

Think that primer is just fucked couldn't pull the one on the o-300 that fast even if you wanted to

I own a Cessna 175C with a 175 hp Continental GO-300E engine and variable pitch propeller and there are two distict characterists of this aeroplane. First it has a hump on the top of the cowling to accomodate the gear box and second the engine speed indicator will show 3,200 rpm on take off (not 2,600 rpm as on your video). The aeroplane in your video shows neither as I suspect it has been re-engined. However the Cessna 175 is a delightful aircraft to fly.

If you are going to do videos in English, then call it a Cessna, not a "Chessna." I don't know why Germans do that.
Mine came with a 206 nose wheel, a Roberson stole kit and flap gap seals. You couldn't stall it. Give it full power and haul the nose up as far as it could go and it wouldn't . stall. Mine came with two props. The seaplane prop cruised at 110 MPH The cruise prop cruised at 120 MPH. After shearing the nose whell off I had to modify the sea plane prop. The tips were bent past 90 degrees and one had a crack. I cut two inches off with a hacksaw and bent each blade the same with a hammer. After balancing it with Mercury outboard parts I could touch a blade with a little spray paint and it would be way heavy. I pained the other blade and it balanced perfectly. I put it on the plane and it cruised ad 128 MPH with no vibration. It was perfect! I used to take the seats out and transport 100 salmon weighing over 1000 pounds in Rubermaid garbage cans. hankkroll.com and henrykroll.com
