Behind the Scenes at the SDCSS Part 3: Why You Should Show Your Succulents

In this video featuring the San Diego Cactus & Succulent Society, we go behind the scenes at a show, observe some of the judging, get tips on what makes plants winners, and find out what made one judge exclaim, “oh, no!” (Entrants take heed.) For judges as well as members, the show is a way to celebrate succulents and cacti. "Seeing the same plant in habitat is far different than seeing it groomed for a show," says San Diego show coordinator Rick Bjorklund. “They don't look the same, yet each is perfect in its respective environment.”

I always enjoy your videos and newsletters. I think I've actually become addicted to succulents as they do so well in my Southern CA area and I've really enjoyed propagating them, sharing, creating interesting combinations, and adding new and different ones.
