Those white bison, how sad, they are so emaciated. Brett really takes great care of all of his animals and he is so informative of each breed so I have to respect him. I love the sounds the alpacas make. That speckled alpaca was beautiful. I can’t wait to see what you got.

White Bison are extremely rare, these are iffy as to their genetic makeup, often they are cross bred with a white Charolais cattle to get their white coloring, look at its front legs, they're too long to be a pure-bred bison.

Rare exotic animal auction? I guess I'm not familiar with how and why these happen. Are they all obtained legally and protected, with safeguards as to them being cared for properly? IDK...just concerning. Yes, the animals are beautiful and interesting, just hoping they are well cared for and returned to the wild if possible. Too many animals disappearing from our earth.

The porcupines here in Canada are huge, I'm afraid I don't like them much, after having two dogs at different times, come to the door with a faceful of quills. Vet bills were huge!! Now a laughfing Rooster I would take home anytime.

Shameful business. People who have access to exotics sell animals to people who have no idea what they are buying and don't know how to take care of them. They just like them because they are cute or different. Sadly, most of these animals go to homes that should not have them and it doesn't take long for them to figure this out. Then adult animals become difficult to rehome. Might be fun to see them at the auction, but this is a shameful and thoughtless industry.

There's something seriously perverse about seeing such beautiful and majestic animals lives being auctioned and bartered off by a bunch of inbred 'murican hicks... Such a sickening sight!!
@erikm8372

Right-as questionable as this may seem, or be, the animals aren’t just sold to ANYBODY; they can’t be! The auction, in & of itself, isn’t the main issue… although the auctions are certainly ‘questionable’ at times, in several areas, such as the “humanity” of the animals held in highly overcrowded, brightly-lit, loud & stressful environments (albeit pretty temporary). If the average ignorant person walked into an auction with no knowledge, no certifications nor any proof of permit, they’d probably be laughed-off. Obviously, money talks, yes… but even still, not everyone will be approved for a permit to start with. Not everyone will be able to bid-on or purchase just ANY animal they want… Honestly, one can only pray these animals get treated well post- purchase. I think the most shameful practices are likely the stories we don’t know of, the histories of the animals themselves, their initial acquisition and availability, at all - the anteaters, fruit bats, primates (i.e. endangered ring-tailed lemurs), crested porcupines, etc. - all captive-bred? Or wild-caught, riddled with parasites, stressed, and on the fast-track to death and a waste of money? 🤔 The other shameful thing is the hybridizing, (like zedonkeys & sh!t), unless it happened naturally (I.e., without human involvement). Then it’s just forced, unnatural pregnancies for profit I’m guessing. Not to mention the auctions selling and displaying taxidermy… kind of contradictory in my eyes. But if I had the time, money, land and resources, hell yeah, I’d be there too, saving as many of these animals as possible! I’d love to start a farm, rescue, and/or sanctuary! And not for fun, but for the love of it…

I agree people who goes to auction to buy or sell exotic animals just for the sake of the money and not care for the welfare of the animals , animals that are in auction they could carry parasites or diseases because they might not get vaccinated also is very shameful that you are forced breeding hybrid animals like you know they are not able to produce offspring so if you are going to buy them i think you are just going to waste your money on them

Some of these don't sit right with me. Bats never live very long in captivity. Don't you need a permit to possess or even transport a sloth? And how would you even feed a giant anteater? Wild animals should stay in the wild. The attitude from those bison and the little skunk sum it up pretty well. The goats, donkeys, camels, etc. are marvelous though!
