The French President Emmanuel Macron has engulfed the French Republic into a major political crisis after calling for the dissolving of the national assembly and for new parliamentary elections. This was in the wake of disastrous European elections results for his centralist and pro-EU Renaissance party at the hands of the hard right National Rally led by Marine Len Pen.
Now former French President Nicolas Sarkozy has warned that Macron's political party faces a wipe out and with the prospect of Jordan Bardella becoming Prime Minister & leader of the National Rally (formerly the National Front).
