Behind the gates
We hit the high country with our backpacks in search of an alpine monster. With unstable weather making our efforts challenging, we push on and find what we were looking for. A great trip to be remembered.

Great videos mate can't get enough of them. great to see the gear you use as well.
Another great video mate. Well done. Go the hammock. Mine was excellent the other week on my hunt down there.
Brilliant videos mate.. just running through for a rewatch on the whole series. Looking forward to new content that you mentioned was incoming on your instagram
top edit mate, keep up the good work!
Good stuff mate!
Great clip man, i enjoyed it 👍
I underestimated a stag very similar to that stag last year in there and just missed him, I estimated around the 28-29 inch mark back then, I also struggled with the weather. awesome vid though!
Love the video's mate, keep it up.

Great watch guys, thanks👌
Hi mate great video. Loved seeing the different tent set ups. The big deer looked great, and being able to visualise the terrain challenges was fantastic. What sort of walking poles do you use. What was the gear that you have decided not to bring next time

Hey buddy, thanks for the feedback. I use the k2 brand poles. Model lockjaw, three piece, very strong, and double as shooting sticks or fly poles if you need it. The boys used leki poles. Also good. Things I've been sliming down on is mainly food items, I've got a pretty tight ship now running sub 22kg for 4 days wet. 16.6kg dry. (Food and water)

Into the Mountains Do you sell the poles at the shop I think I will need them for my trip to kakoda? It would be great to see a video of your 4 day full pack set up. Would it all fit into a moroka 45lt pack?

The Big Fella we used to sell poles at moroka but it's a very saturated market with so many options out there so we don't stock them anymore. I can get the black diamond ones in which are great. The moroka45l will most definitely fit all the gear you'll need for a trip like this. My volume totals around 50-60 depending on my sleep system
