After 3 years, it's time for a revisit to the city of Mechelen. After my very first video on this channel, I decided to return to the Belgian city of Mechelen to visit the clubs KV Mechelen and Racing Mechelen. It's a relatively small city where two football clubs dominate the scene. Although the derby hasn't been played in 20 years, this city exudes history and football. KV Mechelen, the larger club, has the most supporters in an inhabited district close to the city in a renovated stadium that has still retained its charm, and it plays at the top of the Belgian top division. Racing Mechelen operates anonymously in the 4th tier, but the club is still kept alive by a small yet passionate group of supporters. The Oscar Vankesbeeck stadium breathes football and can be labeled as a cult location. It's a trip to remember.
