Mr. Talley is begrudgingly a man caught in the idea of artifice of persona as personality. Such intense scrutiny and skilled examination of the outer packaging but too skewed a view; exemplifying the vulgarity of wanton consumption is baffling and renders questionable his reasoning/evaluation of style sensibilities. He's a monument of a man belittled within by his "insecurities", as he's attested openly. He ought to, simply given his position as Editor at Large, not to mention his preeminence across visual media as the male face, the Black face of American Vogue. Being a visual creator, curator, coach and global brand influencer he is an embarrassment of contradiction. Not unlike beauty editors who ashew make-up and mulltitudenous layering of age-defying, anti-oxidant blocking elixers for brazenly wrinkled "public" faces is beyond comprehension. So there are others flaunting their contradiction whilst dispensing their weighted wisdom onto the weakened minds of the fashionably gullible. So in that disgrace he stands allied. But he is singular, as he's also publicly testified, which is universally corroborated across the world of international fashion journalists, "the" man on the scene alongside Anna Wintour. Personally, given his prominence of position it should be a prerequisite to be the " ideal" they so surreptitiously dictate to impressionable empty minds monthly. The oddity of comic contradiction is that Anna Wintour appears "too" withdrawn whilst Mr. Talley barrels bountifully in girth. The team of them dictators of lifestyle and aspirational taste making. Profoundly puzzling if one teeters too close to the banal and a bit distressing if you're even a bit dazzled by the detritus.

Arborverden Mr. Talley is not a designer he is one of the most highly respected Fashion Editors in the game. His clothes are custom-made by top designers including Tom Ford, Valentino, & Dapper Dan. Think before you speak, please. & in the words of ALT himself “Do your homework!”
