that’s because the director had someone sneak in and take photos of it for the movie. mirada priestly is basically anna wintour. the girl who wrote the book was her assistant who wanted to be a writer and ended up publishing her book a few years after she stopped working for her.

I’m a teenager and my favorite book and movie is Gone with the wind. My heart leaped with joy the moment she said the most fashionable literary character was Scarlet O’Hara. She just made me the most happy person EVER!

Such a powerful lady . She’s still being respectful by rolling her head over while answering . One of the greatest icon

i randomly met her once at a fashion show I was working on in London. I had to privately escort her through an elevator to the VIP dress room... I was told not to look at her or talk to her the whole time by her staff... as soon as we got in the elevator she took her glasses off and started talking to me like a completely lovely normal person... I was so shocked and tongue tied I must have looked like the biggest idiot!!... At the end of the day we are all just humans!

And of course Priestly is just an exaggerated and demonized character for the purposes of the movie. gigi black Definitely, but it seems like she changed assistants. I saw a feature of her office in 2007, and the assistants were perfectly the sosies of the ones described in the book and shown in the movie. Perfectly. But since she had critic, I think she changed to get more smart than beautiful coworkers, who, most importantly, don't fail to break their legs each time they're late due to their footwear. I think this is better for the magazine as well, Virginia, the one coming in with the clothes without color was already working for Anna when "The September Issue" was filmed, which is far more than a year ago.

In interviews at least, I never got the "ice queen" vibe from Anna. She's direct but she's funny. There's always a twinkle in her eye. She knows what she likes and wants. I think being friends with her would be fascinating.

She gives off a firm but eloquent vibe. It might be stupid of me to say this, but I hardly find her intimidating. I think she gets an ‘ice queen’ rep because she’s so high up and values her personal life.

+bluehorseshoe444 Relax. They're going based off of what they know just like anyone would. Just like you are, with a bad example I might add. Tim Gunn incited the entire thing. She didn't go at him for no reason. I absolutely love Tim, but this isn't an Anna thing it's a Tim thing. He's disliked by many. Even Heidi got upset with him when he wrote that her judgment on PR s8 made him wonder if she was smoking crack. He's known to ruffle feathers.

@@Jano1998 Actually, everyone who does 73 questions knows it before hand. But yet people go "Ahhhh..". But the real reason i was astonished was that many people inspite of giving questions beforehand will not know the answers. Heck! I am one of them. I could sit for hours and not know answers to some of those questions. We are so unsure about our likes and dislikes.

The point of the comment was knowing yourself well. Many people, given days together, would not be able answer what they like and what they dont,what is their favorite, etc. I am one of them. So I am saying that I want to be like Anna, she knows what she likes.... which is why she is successful in fashion industry - for having a firm opinion.

I've never seen an interview or anything with Ana Wintour and now that I have, I agree with you. She's charming and funny. A drier sense of humor, but I like that. Miranda Priestly (sp?) was far more intimidating.

Bliss Not hating on you but ya couldn’t be more wrong that’s definitely untrue literally everyone in the world knows that is not a word that goes with British but they do know it’s Americans whom are insecure and nationalistic that’s fact the British have nothing to prove another fact they don’t feel the need to display flags everywhere or put a flag to a deity level or obnoxiously chant UKUKUK or weirdly pledge allegiance to a flag every morning that’s reminiscent of a cult following all of which are signs of insecurity and there’s big difference between patriotism and nationalism in this case it’s the latter the American family and friends of mine agree with what I just said.

I suppose she doesn't care a bit if her answers are true or not. So many questions at once... can't be a good, solid idea. Such an educated and versatile person as she is can't have just one favourite book and I doubt if it is Pride and Prejudice.

I really loved the answer to "What's the best vacation spot?" - "Home."
