Behind ‘Making A Murderer’

It's been twelve years since Steven Avery was convicted of murder and three years since the Netflix docu-series ‘Making a Murderer’ threw him into the international spotlight. The show’s first season indicated officers may have planted some evidence and coerced then-16-year-old Dassey into confessing he helped his uncle rape and murder the victim, Teresa Halbach. Now in its second season, the series presents a new timeline and interviews with witnesses that seem to point the finger at Dassey's brother Bobby, and their stepfather Scott Tadych, arguing they lied in court and tried to erase evidence. Jim Braude was joined by the original attorneys Jerry Buting and Dean Strang.

7 searches to find a car key that was lying plain on the floor in a small room? A owner of a car crusher took the trouble to burn a body but left a car in plain sight in his own car lot? Absolute rubbish. Man is innocent

Does anyone remember the Judge saying that Avery got away with it once and wasn't go to get away with it again at the end of the trial ( not sure of exact words the Judge used) . Also when one of the cops was on the stand said he doubted Avery was innocent of the first crime. Avery was found innocent and released, why weren't these statement used to get a new trial. The Judge I believe made up his mind before the trial started.

Instead of fighting back they are OK with that and still helping to free him. You can tell these are Two good human beings first and foremost, and lawyers second. They gave them it all, except for the disc that was held in Factbender's custody at his house (apparently)? The disc that was in Factbender's hands was Detective Velie's breakdown synopsis of what was found on the computer. They HAD the actual material just NOT the report from Det. Velie. They dropped the ball by not using some other attorney friends office that had the program or buying the Encase program themselves to be able to read the discs that were provided. Yes, the disc in Factbender's hands should have fallen under the failure to disclose discovery evidence, adn hopefully will matter now that an evidentiary request is in the hands of the Court of Appeals.

@Steven Avery Guilty - Brendan Dassey Innocent Bro...you have either been sitting under a rock for 3 years or you just have cognitive dissonance. The forensics story sold to the jury was FAKE. Bones were transplanted to Avery's burn barrel. Possible humans bones found in quarry, Dassey barrell and Manitowoc county property. DNA found under latch of car was too robust to be fingerprints. Nobody was able to replicate blood placement by open wound in car. No DNA on keys found 4 months later in Avery's house. Only his was on the keys. Thats just a few a many. Pay attention. Law enforcement has plenty of corruption in it....from them all the way up to supreme court justices. Justice has not been served here. Smh
