Behind Bars: The World’s Toughest Prisons - San Pedro Prison - La Paz, Bolivia | Free Documentary

Ойын-сауық

Behind Bars - Episode 1: San Pedro Prison - La Paz, Bolivia | Prison Documentary
Behind Bars - El Hongo, Mexico: • Behind Bars 2: The Wor...
Imagine a prison so fierce that guards stay outside for fear of their lives. Inside, the prisoners are in control: murderers, violent offenders, drug bosses. The inmates rule and anarchy prevails. Only the strongest survive this lawless place.
The series accompanies guards on their daily routines: those who struggle to maintain law and order and those who abuse their powers mercilessly. But above all, each episode allows the viewer to see the world from the prisoner’s point of view: the newcomer spending his first terrifying night locked up. Felons who live for the day when their fate will be decided: will it be life behind bars? A worse fate? Foreigners, far away from home, languishing away under the most horrendous conditions. And mothers who have to raise their children in the shadow of prison bars.

Basically trust no one and always watch your own back. And you can go ghost anywhere. And get a damb trade behind you because that is real life in a criminals mind set but still have some respect for each other only prison documentary I watched that I've seen this think about more respectful people do we actually need laws because that's the bad 1 percent 99 percent are better people and would stand for there shit and fuck them up so it be like the wild west films and way of life hard but kept it together. Some how the new system clearly don't work or you make crimes out of nothing. Do as you please but harm none basically.

I spent two weeks in Bolivia in 2005. The travel book I had recommended visiting the prison like a tourist. There was no admission price, however the tour book recommended a “gratuity” of $15 to $20 US. That amount of money is huge ! Tourists were banned from the prison in 2003. I was lucky and had no idea. I parked at the city park across the street. Families can visit their relatives in prison in the morning as often as they wish. There is no inspection of what is brought in. The narration in the video is amazing and NOT exaggerated. The hell represented is mind boggling. There is no heat in the prison. At 13,000 feet elevation Bolivian winters are VERY cold. Every corner of the city smells of urine.

@@rubensito2818 The narrator said he was in for armed robbery. I'm wondering if getting beaten is part of some sort of prison initiation for new prisoners, apart from the "top tier" ones, obviously. I'm curious to know what came of him, too. Unfortunately, even if he did manage to make it out alive, he'll most likely return to prison since there are so few (legal) opportunities in Bolivia. He would probably stand a change if he was able to get a decent job, but those seem to be in short supply and his record will most likely preclude him from moving out of the country, so he's basically doomed to a life of wash, rinse, repeat until he dies.

I often fear going to regular county jail here in the states, I can’t imagine doing actual hard time at a joint like this: shit is whack! You either come out a junkie (if you weren’t one already), come out with a loose anus or sometimes both. Either way, this place isn’t a “correctional facility”, no sir-e Bob. If all you’d ever done on the streets was selling dime bags, you’re coming out one hardened ass criminal. You may not make it out at all.....ever!! Remind me never to smuggle drugs in or out of Bolivia!! You’d be looking at 10-15 yrs at good ol’ San mutha fkn Pedro ‘n shit 😮 (4.5 stars on Trip Advisor btw) Sometimes you get life, depending on how much drugs are found on or in your bitch ass at time of arrest. I saw this last night for the first time and I can't stop crying. They are not treating these people right, and they will have to stand before GOD. A dog is treating better than this. How in the world that another human being want to treat abother human like this. I feel so bad for the men and the women with the children. God have mercy on them. God help them please God. Father God I'm asking you to look down from your holy habitation and see and hear these men and women and children cry. O my God, hear the prayer of your servant, and my supplications. O my God, incline thine ear, and hear, open thine eyes and look how these men, women and children are been mistreating Lord. O Lord, hear, O Lord, forgive, O Lord, hearken and do, derfer not. Lord, you said in your holy word, the bible that we pray for one another that we may be healed. O Lord, I'm asking you to forgive the men and the women for their sins and their parents and their ancestors sins. O Lord, forgive them. O Lord, you are the true GOD and the living GOD and beside you there is no other GOD, and I know not any other God. O Lord, you created the heaven and the earth by your great power and our stretched arm and there is anything too hard for you to do. O Lord, you came do anything but fail. O Lord, you"r more powerful than anything in the world and there isn't anything too hard for you to do. O Lord, you brought the Israelites out of slavery, Egypt. YOU can do the same for these people. Because you are the same yesterday, today and forever. O Lord, I'm asking you to help these people, give them clothes, food, water, Dr's. And nurses. O Lord, I'm asking you to send helpers to help them like you send moses to the slavery that was in Egypt. O Lord, the slavery that was in Egypt was in prison too and you had MERCY on them and I'm asking, you to do the same thing for these people. Remember your holy son, Jesus Christ died on the cross for them Lord. O Lord, you are a good GOD and your mercy is everlasting to everlasting. O Lord, only you can help these people. Remember, o Lord that your eyes and ears are always open to the cry of the POOR and NEEDY people. O Lord let the people that is in charge of them treat them right. O Lord have MERCY on them. O Lord sent Labours into your harvest now. Thank you LORD for hearing and answer my,prayer in Jesus Christ name, amen. SHALOM!
