One June afternoon three years ago, I decided to mash up my favorite Blue Stahli song with every meme, joke and reference I could possibly think of... Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected such an immense response for both my chart and by extension, the original song that inspired me to circumvent certain musical conventions. I am eternally grateful to Jason, Acai, UKOG and everyone else in this awesome community for giving me an avenue for my mixing content; as well as Blue Stahli himself for creating such awe-inspiring and intense music, perfect for a joke or two!

If y'all liked the non-meme version of the song, I highly suggest giving the rest of Bret's discography a try, especially the trio of albums he released late last year/early this year. He recently went completely independent and deserves all the support in the world. Quartz and Obsidian are both more along the lines of The Fall and all of the other songs on The Devil, and Copper is good for more chill and atmospheric tracks.

I don't remember all of the details, but Bret left 'cuz there was (allegedly) some kind of dispute over the release of "Obsidian" (pre-Dead_Channel trilogy), hence why there was essentially complete radio silence from him past the release of Lakes of Flame. There was a post on the FiXT subreddit that went into some details (and kinda went over how Klayton is *allegedly* a massive tool behind closed doors). I dunno if it's still there, but it was pretty sobering. FiXT as a whole is a lot better than most other record labels, it just seems like the heads (Klay and Rhodes) aren't entirely different from other execs, unfortunately.

Really glad you enjoyed the background video. I originally made it for my own personal use, and when Cryptrik asked me if they could include it in the remastered version of the chart, I was all for it. Even made a few tweaks and improvements on the first version, since I still had the project files. Good call on not showing that on Twitch. Not sure the DMCA gods would have been too happy about how much of the Joan Jett music video was included.

Oh dang, I just listened to "I've Fallen And I Can't Get Up" an hour ago, the lyrics flipped me up so much because I was expecting the meme ones !

My brain keeps filling in the blanks of where the memes are and I keep giggling~ I remember Blue Stahli commenting on the meme track video you posted, it's awesome they were cool about it!

I think my original comment in that video where I told everyone the name of the song and artist is still one of my most-liked to this day. It felt GREAT knowing I was able to steer a few thousand people to the original sure felt great ^^ Love you Jason! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

God I remember when this original meme video came out... I was really big into getting my weight down to normal and so I looked up the original version of this song up and used it as a inspirational song to get my ass into the gym. Now my weight is back up and seeing this video makes me want to get right back into it... I think you unleashed the old me again Jason! I love you!

I found this song through the meme and it very quickly grew on me. I already (apparently) had a Blue Stahli track in my playlist that I really liked (Anti You) and after seeing someone in the comments say the name of the song gave me a "wait a minute" kinda reaction. Went to my PL and saw it was the same artist and yeah. It instantly went in there with its brother. As I said on the other video though (thanks for the heart, JP~♡), it's not really the same without the penis. Still _immensely_ good, but not the same. I really like this type of chord-heavy style genre. Don't know what it's called. However, while impressive solos are one thing, this track is the music-equivalent of chugging a Red Bull. Just pure energy. Love it. Thanks for finding me a new fave band a couple years ago, JP. Who knew I'd get here from a messed up Crash Bandicoot going "woah" with different intonations? Mad.
